UPDATE: This portion is for laser hair removal service I received July 26th. The following day, I noticed a huge bruise on my right thigh (that I still have to this day). I did contact the office via phone, then emailed them a picture of the bruise- I did receive a confirmation that they got the email from Bella. The email stated that they'll be in touch within the next 24 hours... It's August 7th and they're still getting back to me. The lack of professionalism of this establishment is beyond me. The least you can do is to address my concerns by calling to let me know the bruise is okay or not! I shouldn't have to reach out to my dermatologist for the SECOND TIME after a treatment I received at your practice. Contacting your patients AFTER posting a review isn't the way to run a business; you are only concerned about your image!!!! I am so glad I finished my laser package, I am definitely not coming back and will not be recommending your practice to anyone!
This review is only for the microneedling & PRP service I received yesterday. My esthetician was Victoria G and my PA was Anna G. Victoria walked me from the front area after saying a cold hello and asking what my name was. Right when we got to the procedure room, I did ask to use the bathroom quickly- not sure if that's what "annoyed" her. I go back to the room and I asked where to sit. I'm laying in bed, Anna G was super kind and professional; she walked me though the steps of her drawing blood. Concurrently, Victoria starts applying the numbing cream on my face while talking to Anna G. NOTHING ADDRESSED TO ME. She didn't ask if I had any products on my face and to verify the procedure I'm getting done that day. NOTHING. While she was applying the numbing cream, I did ask her if we can also micro needle underneath my eyes, she didn't even say yes or no. She literally continued on applying the numbing cream to my under-eyes area and confirmed with Anna G it would be okay to micro needle the area. She left the room while the numbing cream was on me which is expected, I know that. But my face, was BURNING and was SO RED. She didn't tell me what to expect or check on me before she left me for over ten minutes. I asked her if the burning and redness were okay and she said yes. The only "personable" moment she had is when she asked me about NYE's. She did do extractions on my face after thoroughly cleansing and before micro needling so I'll give her that. At the end of the session, she asked what moisturizer I use and gave me a small box- told me to use it before I go to sleep and wanted to walk me to the front desk. I asked her about vitamin C, HA, and Retinol use post-treatment. The moisturizers she gave me are different, one labeled "Lift" and one labeled "Rescue". I had to go on Spa Derma's website to figure out the difference. I was literally googling post-care to figure out what to expect in terms of swelling and pain, and the Do's and Don'ts. Victoria was not personable, seemed very aloof and standoffish, and lacked professionalism. If I'm leaving your procedure room with no instructions on what to expect and post-care, then you failed your job. Your job doesn't end with the micro-needling part. I'm so thankful for Anna though!
Definitely will not be booking with Victoria any services again. I do not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFor over the past 2 years I have been using SpaDerma and this review is NOT about my Botox treatment I received from NIKO- as heās amazing. I canāt say the same for the hydrafacial treatment. I bought the 3 package and the first time I tried was with Tony. The treatment lasted only 30 minutes including me getting ready. Throughout the whole treatment she was trying to sell me the skin care spaderma sells and this was very annoying. My next treatment was with Christina and was slightly a better experience for me. What really disappointed me was the last time I booked my 3d hydrafacial. I called on Thursday and they scheduled me for Saturday with Tony at 4:15. I asked to see another technician but she was the only one available. I decided to give it another chance, so I booked with her. I called around 10am that day just to double check if there was any cancelations so I can go earlier. There was none so they asked me if I wanted to cancel my apt, I said no and reassured I will be there. I had to rearrange my whole day based on my treatment. Then rain started and I had to drive since I couldnāt walk. For people who live in the neighborhood know how bad traffic can get around that time and even worse on rainy days. They texted me at 4:21pm to check with me, I told them I was on my way and will be there in few minutes. I couldnāt find parking close by so I had to walk and rain was pouring, I got so wet. They texted me at 4:28pm to tell me that I had paperwork to fill which will take up to 5-10 minutes and they needed to reschedule. I only read the text when I was at the door by 4:31. I fill paperwork every time I go there and never take me more than 2 minutes, the most. I felt that they donāt really care and they actually donāt. Not to mention I was overcharged for my 48 units of botox treatment. I am so disappointed by way I was treated. I have recommended Niko and spa derma to all my friends, my mom goes there, my best friend Nita goes there, my aunt booked an appointment few weeks ago. One thing I know, Iām not going back to this place again. They have terrible costumer service. Every time I go I see a different girl in the reception. I will avoid those chain clinics and find a smaller clinic that has better appreciations for clients and when I feel appreciated for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am editing my review as Spa Derma Customer Service was very responsive and professional. They followed up with me immediately after my review and were open to listen to my concerns. My experience since my review has improved considerably. I am not giving it 5 stars because of my prior experience and because even if Customer Service was impeccable, the next appointment I had did not go completely smoothly: it was apparently scheduled half an hour earlier than I had been told both by phone and by the Spa Derma SMS confirming the appointment. I arrived early and my esthetician was very effective so it all worked out in the end. Awful customer experience and very unprofessional ran. Just as an example, I was charged a $35 shaving fee for the upper lip -which arguably should not have paid in the first place. I received a paper invoice that day including the fee, I paid, but every single time for a whole entire year they āremind meā there is an unpaid shaving fee in front of all their other customers. I took the time of looking for the paper invoice (I had saved that by chance) and bring it over to them to show them it was already paid and hoping that would put an end to it. They took my explaination that time, but their staff changes constantly so every single time I go, literally no exception, they continue to mortify me about the $35. One time they even called me on the phone to say they had forgotten to charge me something and made me walk back -which I did. I had a good experience at Lincoln Park location - this location is just very unprofessionally ran. I switched to West Loop because itās closer but I have regretted my...
