Update 6/21/25 Per my first review, the manager got in touch with me and was generous to offer my group a free game to rectify our previous experience with the train room as well as some goodie bags for the group. They definitely went above and beyond to make sure we had a good time this time. We had a fantastic experience this time around and I highly recommend the Spec Ops room it was significantly more challenging (IMO) and we had to ask a few hints at the end and only had 13 seconds to spare! It was so much fun and everyone this time was engaged and had stuff to do the entire time. I did also notice that they made the changes on their website I had previously complained about to make it clear that if you have a group smaller than 8 that you could be put with strangers. So I changed my review from 3 to 5 stars for all the effort put in. Well done! We will be back for more fun! Thank you!
Previous Review: Just left the Train game. It was fun. However, having been to escape rooms through other companies in Boston, Virginia Beach and in other Ohio locations I felt as though 8 people for this escape room was too many. I was already not a fan that there was a lack of rooms available for smaller party groups like other places offer. Not everyone is able to get 8 ppl together and not everyone wants to do an experience like this with strangers. I think they should be offering rooms for the 5-6 person range as well. And I think the train room is def one for that. With 8 people in there, it was crowded and at times you felt like you were just in the way and half of the group had to step aside and let the other half do the work. And to be clear, they list on their website “up to 8 players” but what that means is if you’re a party of 6, and there is a party of 2 that signs up for the same room and time as you they will put you together. The only way you actually get to stay as a party of 6 is if no one else signed up for the same room and time as you. You can’t choose to keep it at 6 unless you pay for all 8 spots. . . So I mean when you have part of the group just standing by for parts throughout the hour… that tells me and should tell you that this room isn’t set up for the amount of people they have in here. We got out with 13:59 left. That also should tell you. I’ve never finished an escape room with so much time to spare. It took away from the experience some. It also took away from the experience some that we weren’t given the opportunity to just have it be our group of 6 and had to do it with 2 strangers. They were lovely people but strangers none the less. I also wasn’t thrilled about having my purse in the room with strangers. I’ve never been to an escape room where we didn’t lock up our belongings if needed. I think some stuff needs to be revamped before I would consider spending the amount of money they charge for the experience bc it is on the higher end....
Read moreI can not RAVE enough about the staff that works at Escape Games Crocker Park. I came in for The Heist escape room, had a blast with our game host and the group I met. The puzzles are exciting and challenging and the interactive features in this room bring surprise and fun.
After saying goodbye, I attempted to start my car to discover my battery had died. It was cold outside so I came back into the lobby to sit on the bench and figure out a tow situation. That is when the kind hearted Brie (shoulder length blonde hair) and was working front desk that night approached me and said hey are you okay? I said yes my car won’t start. I am not sure what’s wrong but believe it maybe the battery. She said “I have some jumper cables in my car and I can call my manager Konnor to help out”
Konnor the manager then preceded to pull his car around to the front. Assisted me in jumping my car battery which worked! I could not believe the kindness, thoughtfulness, and compassion I received that evening from the staff there.
That night I became a die hard fan of Escape Game because not only are the rooms very well done but the staff lifts the quality of the company to a whole new level. I am forever grateful for Konnor and Bri that evening for going out of their way to help me.
I have done several escape rooms at this location. Prison Break, Timeliner, and Special Ops and I highly recommend them all.
Thank for being amazing kind human beings and providing top tier customer service to me and my friends when we come. Will be back soon to...
Read moreThis was such a family fun night. Connor helped set us up and talked about the escape room and told us we picked a really good one for our first experience. Our daughter is 12 and we did the Timeliner. The clues, the room… the changing graphics on the windows made it really seem like we were on a time traveling train . Since this was our first escape room ever , we didn’t escape, but Emily helped us with giving us good clues. She told us we were only 6 puzzles away and that we did excellent for our first time. We bought gift cards for our next experience and got a discount for buying ahead. We ended up getting 4 so our daughter could bring a friend . Also thought it might be a fun couples night out activity with other couples. Connor and Emily are great employees and definitely made the experience even better. Can’t wait to try another room. Edit*. We just went back today 6/21/24. We used our gift cards that we bought when we went last time because of the 25% off. We did The Depths. We were put in with another group of 4 and had the best time with our guide Tracy. It was getting so close at the end and our hearts were racing… we escaped with a 1:22 to spare. Tracey brought us our Escaped stickers and took our proud pictures! We bought some escaped the Depths tshirts and 4 more gift cards to try out another one soon. Last time it was only 3 of us . We had a group of 8 and I think it’s better with a group . Great fun night to...
