We had heard about this place through Facebook posts yet never had the gumption to attend. A family member suggested Lazer tag as a group activity and my mind instantly went to this place. We were looking for a group activity that offered something more than the basic Lazer tag experience. This looked to be it.
Upon arrival we met the ownership and they were authentically excited to interact with us and it was awesome to see two guys who love their product offering.
We received a quick tutorial on how the Lazer Rifles worked. Mind you, these were modeled after the venerable HK MP5 SD and not some science fiction space blaster. These things rocked EOTech Clones for a sighting system and a single point sling to maintain control throughout the session. Without using real sim guns these things were pretty close.
After that we kitted up in an tactical armor carrier, sans the armor, that housed the sensors needed to score hits. There is also a headband that tracks head shots. I recommend wearing a hat to the experience to minimize friction on the forehead.
We're were given full instructions for each mission type prior to the start of each round and let loose. It took our group a few rounds to figure things out but after that, we were rolling.
The missions were fun and require a bit of strategy and combined effort to achieve. This is a great team building event that is also fun. The course was a massive array of rooms, hallways and open thresholds that required interior rooms corners to be dug out like in actual cqb. Our equipment allowed for quick shoulder bumps of the rifle to process cover on both left and right sides.
Sniper proved to be my favorite mission in our stack to play. It required 1 hit for a kill and teams were penalized for missing. So the spray and pray tactic was no longer economical for a player strategy.
When we left, everyone was excited and checking their stats. My wife and Stepdaughter were in our group and they were both talking about what they would do the next time.
For Lazer tag the price point is high but it really is a premium experience. There really isn't a comparable experience in the Lazer tag arena. So the pricing seems correct and acceptable.
If you have to compare this to any type of event it would be a mix of Air Soft, Paintball, Lazer tag meets Call of Duty.
We look forward to joining them again for another group experience.
Thanks to the owners who brought this...
Read moreI’d of gave it 4 stars, but I didn’t want to be the one to break their perfect 5 and it’s as good as laser tag gets for now… There are a lot of black walls which I wasn’t expecting so wear all black. I was a little mislead by the footage from other locations online as I didn’t see many black walls there. For realism it’s not as realistic as advertised overall. I think a medium grey (not too dark, but not too light) would improve the map tremendously. Who has mostly black walls anyway? The equipment is good, fair, and reliable. I wish the mag function was part of the required reload but you only have to rack the charging handle to reload. I do have some suggestions. It’s dark, and loud in there for the most part. They blast some music which isn’t entirely bad. I think if lights and music were an option via votes from the players this place would do a lot better. The more variables that change the better. I’d even like to see an alternating light scheme. If they could randomize the lighting on a random timer (10-30 second rotations while playing) it would add extra depth to the battlefield. If you are a new player and you do a public match, expect a skilled player to face you. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing and will make you sharper, but just keep it in mind. The firing selector switch is the most realistic feature on the gun. Be sure you don’t accidentally switch it to safety, like me and plenty other new players. Luckily a more experienced enemy was a good enough sport to point it out to me when I got hit because of it. The sportsmanship in my experience was much better than any airsoft event I’ve been to so that’s good. There is an audio cue to tell you your gun is on safety, but can be hard to hear if your close to a music speaker or in the zone/both. Overall it’s a lot of fun for $32 and I recommend. For anyone trying to get “real experience” this is as close as it gets, aside from the real deal. Anyway I felt I got my money’s worth, and am pleased. I’d just like to see some variety of...
Read moreIf you’re trying to have a family fun night I would suggest going somewhere else unless you rent or fill up the whole time slot. We took our nephew and son 9/14 there and my friend brought his 2 young kids 7/10. We signed up for the 7:30 slot and everything was good until the action begun. My nephew got ran into and knocked to the ground his gun went flying my friends daughter got ran into and she slid 5 foot across the floor and the kids were ran into multiple times and a grown man was yelling at us and my kids and tried starting a fight with us because (we suck) I thought this was a family friendly as it say place to take our children? They were knocked down multiple times and screamed at multiple times the (refs) did nothing when we told them and these grown men playing this game take it way to serious we all left halfway through our session after we told them what was going on and they did nothing. They don’t even offer a refund or a return date. So if your trying to take your kids here be aware they might get knocked down beat up or yelled at if they are not as good as these grown wanna be army guys that won’t join the army but will play this game of laser tag (for kids).
Response: So you were there and then you know there is much more then what you said blaming the family with the children to protect your (members) children which are grown adults. No one said anything about children playing when we were there and no one said there would be grown men running around knocking people over and trying to fight over a laser tag game. We left because you did nothing for our families after we brought this to your attention multiple times hence why we left. So tell your lies, make stuff up to make it look like we started issues for no reason. The lies out of your mouth. I’ll tell you what I’ll be up there later today and we can have a civil conversation about what...
