Activate Westminster — Attraction in Westminster

I visited Activate Westminster on a Saturday at 12 PM, and it turned out to be the perfect choice for a high-energy indoor activity. I was feeling bored at home but had a lot of energy to burn—and this place did not disappoint.

Since it was my first time, I went with the 1-hour session for $28, and honestly, no regrets. Easy 5-star rating.

The place is super clean, well-organized, and very adult-and-youth friendly. There are tons of games involving running, throwing, bending, and stretching. Each game lasts just 2 minutes, which keeps the energy up and the boredom out. You can either move on to the next challenge after 2 minutes or replay the same one at a higher level, which is awesome for competitive folks.

What surprised me the most? The post-game muscle soreness the next day—proof that I really moved and played hard! 😄

SHOUT OUT TO HANNAH! I cannot say enough positive things about Activate. Such an awesome indoor idea for kids and adults to be active and HAVE FUN any time of the year. If you don’t know what this is, just go. You will have fun, I promise, especially at this location in particular. The layout of this facility is so much better than some of the other activate locations I’ve been to. There’s plenty of room throughout the facility to make sure you’re not feeling cramped by other parties while walking to new games. Each room is only 3-5 players but we went with a group of 7 a couple times and just broke off into groups of 4 and 3 and still ended at about the same time. One of the employees, Hannah, was super helpful walking around and answering any questions we had about the games. She even offered to show my group of 3 a new competitive mode game AND played it with us to make sure we knew what we were doing. My husband and I took our son to Activate Westminster to celebrate his 12th birthday. I can honestly say the entire experience—from the moment we walked in and were pleasantly and enthusiastically greeted by the front desk staff, to the detailed walk-around and explanation of the experience, to playing ALL of the games—far exceeded any expectations I had! We had an absolute BLAST! :)

Each gaming room offers an exciting and hands-on experience that is different than any other “arcade” franchise around.

We went early in the day, which allowed enough time for us to play all of the game rooms available without having to wait for others to finish playing. Also, the whole concept of interactive multiplayer “play” adds a whole new level of fun and excitement to the entire experience! Similar to an Escape Room, the games allow you to work together as a team to problem-solve and complete tasks in a race to beat the time. SO. MUCH. FUN!
