This is a tough one to write. I want to say all nice things but I can’t. The food is good, excellent drinks, really good atmosphere, great music and vibe. The bartenders/servers are so so nice and sooo friendly but… It was a Friday night @8 not super busy but there were people (we were sitting at the bar and it was not full). We got drinks and a menu. And then we sat and waited and waited and waited. We watched SIX tables/bar seating arrive AFTER us, order, get food and eat and still we sat never having anyone come over so we could order. A lady came in sat down at the bar order a drink and food, get drink, get food and finish and we sat watched this all play out and still we couldn’t get anyone to take our order. After 30 min with zero interaction we finally ordered. We wanted an appetizer but we didn’t dare not order our meal at this time so we ordered everything, and another round of drinks. Our food came, all at the same time (no point in an appetizer if it comes with your food). We had no silverware, no little appetizer plates (for the wings) nothing. Finally, another patron at the bar had to tell the bartender we needed silverware because even they noticed! After 15 more minutes our second round of drinks we already ordered never came and then we we were asked “do you want another round” 🤦♀️ I want to be clear— the staff was busting their butt, they were working hard. Idk if they need to schedule more staff or hire more people (I know, not easy) or the manager needs to recognize when the bartender needs help or the staff should be more aware of what’s going on but this should never happen. Again six groups arrive after us…and they are eating their food before we could even order. When I’m spending over $100 (I’m not complaining about the price) I do expect...
Read moreWEIRD, FRUSTRATING, AND EXHAUSTING We were sat with a food menu and drink menu. The food menu lists everything except for any bbq meats you can order. The drinks menu also doesn't include non-alcoholic beverages. The servers also expressed their frustration that that information isn't on the menus. Also, you can cobble together a meal by individually ordering meats and sides and it's much cheaper than ordering one of the set meals. That's strange and makes no sense. The food was brought to the table so slowly. Not even one meal at a time, think one person's meat, and then another person's side dish. It took almost half an hour to get all the food out from when the first one was delivered. It was brought in by like 5 different servers and none of them had any idea what anyone ordered. The food was... Mediocre. I've had good bbq before in Colorado, but this was not good bbq. The ribs were actually ok, but the burnt ends and brisket were criminally dry. The mac and cheese was watery and flavorless. The cornbread was also flavorless and just a puck. The server was nice and understanding when we kindly let him know about the faults in the food. He comped the individually ordered dishes, but he couldn't comp the set meals I guess. The place wasn't even that busy so I don't know why the restaurant doesn't have a proper system to serve the food. They should figure that out, and also print some proper menus so we don't have to flag down servers and hostesses to tell us what we can order. More importantly, they should treat the brisket with respect because I feel bad that a cow gave its life just to be...
Read moreChef Brad Saved the Day! On a becoming-busy Saturday evening, we were seated promptly on the outdoor patio. Lovely. We waited a good 20 minutes before the server showed up and abruptly asked what we wanted to order. We were not greeted, and we had not yet ordered drinks, so we ordered drinks and said we needed a little more time for food decisions. After an excessively long time (beer and wine shouldn't take long at all), our drinks hadn't arrived, nor had we seen our server again, though there were plenty of other servers buzzing around us. Eventually a nice gentleman in a plaid shirt (obviously worked there but not his normal gig) brought food out to another table and noticed my husband not looking too happy. The man (who later introduced himself as Chef Brad, the Executive Pitmaster) stopped in his tracks, and asked what he could do for us. We told him we had been waiting forever for drinks, so he inquired what we ordered and soon returned with them. The rest of the evening continued on in the same light (waitress absent, Brad checking on us periodically). It would have been an awful experience had it not been for Chef Brad stepping in. In the end, our food was good (the flavors were right, though the hot things not as warm expected). My craft cocktail was excellent. And the patio through the evening was delightful. We'll give them another try when maybe they aren't so busy, and hopefully will be able add more stars to the review. Review breakdown: 5 stars for Chef Brad and the bar, 4 for the food and patio, 2 for the server. Thank you for saving the...
