Three electric charging stations at this location. The hotel staff was very nice and the hotel was very clean. I love the amenities that they provide. The pool, gym and hot tub was also clean. They have A Bistro on site with limiting hours along with Starbucks. The staff there was also nice, Though I wish they provided room service. Our room was very clean, modern and the water pressure is awesome at this hotel. They give you lots of hangers and storage to place your clothes. They provide a mini on site convenience store for snacks and essentials. The hotel is in a awesome location. They have a outlet not even a mile away. Target is across the street. Plenty of eatery places in the same section of the hotel and department stores. I really love this location. It is only 15 mins max from Anderson farms where we did the fall festival and terror in the corn maze. They're 25 minutes from the botanical gardens and really close to everything. Because the good outweigh the bad I will give 5 stars. My only grip and its a painful one, was that their beds are extremely uncomfortable and hard. They must use super firm mattresses because my goodness the bed was so uncomfortable. I didn't alert the hotel staff about this or maybe I should have. I wonder if they provided softer padding for guest who find their beds uncomfortable. I have stayed at plenty of hotels ranging from 3 to 5 stars. I've never experienced this before. The beds felt like you were sleeping on cement or something. I have a memory foam mattress with cooling technology and pillow topper that came with the mattress so my bed feels like a cloud with structure. Their beds do not move hardly at all. There is no softness or bounce to it. They do give you lots of bed pillows that I had to place under my lower back. I woke up so sore and achy especially my lower back and hip area. Never had this happen. So this is my only downside to this hotel. Maybe some people like super firm mattresses like this but my spouse and I barely could sleep and woke up hurting. Again, I've stayed at plenty of hotels and never felt a bed like this before. I hope they implement an option to make the mattress a little more comfortable for guest who prefer non firm beds. I would recommend implementing getting license lates from guest since they have a electrical charging station there. We have a tesla and this was the major reason we choose this hotel, because they had on site charging. We found plenty of non electric vehicles parked In the charging station area making it hard for us to charge our car. I never brought this to the front desk because if I did they would have been clueless on who car it belong to also. If they enforce knowing the license plate of their guest like some hotels, this could possible eliminate the issue of non electric cars parking in electric charging spaces. Again not the hotel fault, just a friendly recommendation. They have the Netflix app where you can login into your account and watch Netflix. Plenty of usb ports to charge your devices and wall sockets. There is a cute refrigerator, kuerig and microwave in the room. Bright lighting in the bathroom and spa bathing/hairwashing essentials. Again, the good is more than the bad so they get 5 stars. We stayed from 10/1 and checked out 10/3 under...
Read moreWe booked three rooms at this property for a wedding. Reservations were fine until guests checked in and were told they could not accommodate the king/queen bed requests. On the first night one guest asked for a room change and was given anther room however the front desk failed to transfer the reservation. No further issues the first night.
The second night, after the wedding, two rooms went to bed and had no issues while the third room with two young woman of foreign decent had repeated issues of harassment and lack of perceived cultural diversity from the staff on duty. Upon returning to the hotel around 11:00pm they found they had been locked out. They went to the front desk and were told there was a mistake and they would take care of it in the morning and were given a key to get in.
Around 12:30am a male hotel employee started banging on the door telling the guest that they had to leave and if she didn’t leave the room he would involve the police. Freightened she went to the front desk and was told her “sponser” failed to pay for her room (all three rooms had already been applied to the same credit card and had payment pending) she asked about the other guest in her room and was told he wouldn’t discuss other guests with her, this girl was in the same “unpaid” room. On the way to the front desk she was told “no pay no stay” and “you understand, you understand?.
The male staff memeber repeatedly hung up the phone after the guest had called me and asked for my help with her room (it was my wedding and my card). He told me she can’t stay becuse I didn’t pay and she could get her things in the morning. He clearly lacks the training to deal with guests at any level. He seemed to enjoy making the young lady uncomfortable and was completly ignorant to her culture and language. She speaks and understands English but has a heavy accent. After bullying her for 20-30 minutes the other staff member got her room figured out, in less than a minute. The manager on call got on the phone and said the staff did nothing wrong and hung up.
I spoke with Marriott corporate on Wednesday and finally ended up having to go to consumer affairs for Marriott to get this resolved. The properties GM finally acknowldge the billing and room transfer errors by her staff and corrected them. She apologized for her staff and said they would address the staff members in question and follow up on their diversity...
Read moreWe thought we made a reservation for 4 people and got stuck with a small room with only enough room for 3 people. Our room had a king and a pull out twin. Hotel staff said they we fully booked and had no other rooms available. We had considered changing hotels but it was already 9pm. I found the room that we were put in very small. You could hear the people next door were constantly open and closing their door to their room all night I mean 7 times an hour. The rooms are not insulated for slamming door sounds between rooms very well Unfortunately this went on ALL NIGHT and into the morning finally stopped at noon the next day. The people staying next door even jiggled our door handle a few times loud enough to wake us up twice probably by mistake but I'm not sure. I got up to look a thin build man in his 20s with black hoody on and blue jeans hoody pulled up over head was walking away from my door. I sure wasn't going to open it to see what he wanted. If it happened again I was going to call police and manager. But even though the constant slamming of door never stopped the jiggling of the handle did. Luckily that was only on the 1st night that we were there. The body wash bottle in the shower did not work. We asked for extra towels did not get those and they have the smallest trash can in the room so the trash is easily filled overflows and is not changed. I couldn't locate coffee or tea in lobby but coffee is available in room. The tile in the bathroom and the shower floor was very slippery. What did I find good about this Marriott? Lots of convenient parking, The grounds are kept very clean, luggage trolly easily accessible, good location on the edge of a mall surrounded by great dining choices. Across the street from a major Hospital. Lobby was very clean and attractively decorated. This hotel has a small pool and hot tub and work out room alot of other guests seemed to be happily enjoying. There was a small bar in the lobby which guests were having a good time at. The hallways and room were impressively clean and looked to be newly built attractively decorated. Based on our experience this hotel would be suitable for business people and couples traveling alone. Not really useful for families of over 3. If you have a choice I would ask to see the room before check-in. Or bring a blow up mattress be prepared for this Marriott to be lacking...
