Skate City Westminster — Attraction in Westminster

We have been going to that skate city for at least 5 years now, but last Friday, I had a very bad experience with their management, Tatiana and Isaac. We have summer Membership Cards for our kids this season. Since it was getting to the end of that season, I made a phone call to skate city to clarify the terms and conditions of this card before bringing my kids back in. I spoke with their employee over the phone, and he told me that my cards will work ‘till October first, and that we can come in on Friday, starting at 4:00 pm, and on Sunday and Saturday on public skating hours. So, I brought my kids in on Friday at 4:00 pm just to be turned down by Tatiana and Isaac. They told me that the cards are expired. I try to tell them that we talked to their employee who told us otherwise. Then they found another excuse. They said that the card is only good on Saturday and Sunday. The card did say that it will be good on Saturday and Sunday in September, but we came in on August 19, not in September. I didn’t want to argue with them any more in front of my kids. They already made their minds up and would find any excuse not to let us in. They were trying to exercise their little power over women and two kids instead of admitting their own mistake. It was infuriating that they would stoop that low just to be spiteful. So, we gave up and went home. As we were walking out the door, my son asked me a question, “Mom why were those people not nice to you?”. I would like to ask the same question to the owner of Skate City. “Way to run business”,...

PLEASE READ if considering skate club. Looks like SEVERAL people have complained about the rude girl at the front. I agree with them. We are new club members and when the site said Sunday evening you get to skate free with that membership we thought 4-6 was considered evening. She seriously took the time to find a laptop and then to search for where it says 4-6 is NOT part of free skating for the membership. It’s rude to “make a point” in the way she did. It’s fine, we paid because what’s the point in arguing?but keep in mind we also spend the money on the membership plus food and drinks. She obviously couldn’t find the times either because she took forever lol Not to mention she shoved their sign in my face where it says 6-8 Sundays for the club skate. The sign was no where to be seen. What is wrong with you?? I wasn’t even rude or mean and she was over there shoving signs in my face and pulling out laptops to make a point??We’ve tried using our membership twice and I’ve still been charged to go skating each time because they’re times are specific for the club. They market the membership in several places on the website so it’s hard to see the times that you can skate. Don’t market something to be free skating just to limit us. All it says is skate Fridays and Saturdays and Sundays evenings. But if you click another page it will actually break that down. I think you should change the wording from mornings, afternoons, and evenings to just state the times your actually open for the club to skate free. Keep the times...

I love Skate City. Well. Wait, maybe I just love to skate. I have been going since I was a kid and now I take my kids. I had my daughters birthday party here and it was a great deal. Its very outdated. Its in desperate need of a remodel. The food is terrible. The staff isn't the friendliest. Except the DJ who is always going around checking on the kids who fall.

I saw they were doing a new years event so I took my daughter and nieces. It was literally a nightmare. I am pretty sure it was WAY OVER capacity. There were so many people you could barely move. It was sensory overload. Kids were crying, screaming. There were not enough balloons for all the kids during the balloon drop. The age ranges they separated was not a good idea. putting 7 year old's against 12 year old's to compete for prizes was just setting them up for failure. I never saw so many crying kids. Then they incentivized the kids to clean up the trash with a free slurpy so kids started fighting and crying over the trash. It looked like the staff couldn't handle it. It was like an angry mob of people when they were giving out the little blow horns. It was just the most insane thing I have been too. Probably wont go to another event like that there....
