I cannot speak more highly of The Plumed Serpent! Initially, I booked them after doing research that they were the only bridal shop specifically in CT that carried the specific designer I was looking for but I cannot be any more grateful for the experience The Plumed Serpent provided me. I had the absolute BEST experience at The Plumed Serpent and they made finding my dream gown seamless and easy! The entire staff, especially Leo who was assigned to me, were beyond attentive to my requests. Leo brought out tons of dresses made only by the designer I was looking for and essentially hand picked the gown of my DREAMS! The first dress she picked out (& the first dress she asked that I try on) ended up being the dress that I chose!!! (even after trying on about 9-10 other ones after that). What bride can say that you found your dream dress at the very first bridal shop you went to and ended up being the very first dress tried on? Amazing. The whole entire experience was nothing short of PERFECT; even so much so that my mother also found her DREAM mother of the bride gown at The Plumed Serpent during one of their trunk shows.

Both of our experiences were truly amazing and the staff at TPS were beyond flexible and accommodating.

My favorite part of the entire process by far was getting the opportunity to have each one of my dress fittings done at the exact same time as my mom’s dress fittings. One of the most memorable parts of this entire process and a memory that I will forever cherish and be forever grateful for. Not to mention that Lissa, one of their seamstresses, is THE BEST! Lissa essentially recreated the entire top portion of my dress to ensure I was 100% comfortable when walking and moving my arms in my gown and she made both dresses, mine and my mom’s, fit like an absolute glove. Lissa is a QUEEN in my book and a very knowledgeable and experienced seamstress. Not to mention, the absolute SWEETEST!

The Plumed Serpent exceeded all my dress shopping expectations! Before visiting the store, I was hoping this would be a one stop shop, as I wanted to make alterations as easy as possible, and being only one town away from Westport, this would be the perfect fit. Leo, my bridal stylist, texted me the day before my appointment and really took the time to get to know me. I sent her one inspo picture as a starting point, but told her I was open to other options too! As we walked in, we were greeted by an adorable sign with my name on it + Leo took the time to get to know the people I brought with me that day. She had already pulled some dresses, so the process itself started so seamlessly, and ended in the same way! The dress of my dreams was the second one I tried on, again, all because of Leo's expertise in pulling out the right style I was envisioning. As I am a horrible decision maker, she was so patient when I asked to try on other dresses, and even more patient when I said I had to sleep on the decision! A few days later, I texted her to schedule my follow up appointment, and she was so quick to respond with her availability. This appointment went the exact same way -- Leo took the time to meet the women I brought with me, asked if I wanted to see anything else, and grabbed the accessories to try on to complete the look. I never once felt pressured or rushed to make a decision, as the staff knows how important this type of decision is! But, minutes later, I was saying yes to the dress! The owner Alison came out to say hello and compliment me on my dress, and Leo continued to be very transparent with the whole sale - walking us through the contract top to bottom, reviewing the costs, and giving us an estimated time line for the next steps. I am SO excited to have said yes to the dress at this beautiful boutique, and can't wait for my dress to come in! Thank you, Plumed Serpent, for making the experience stress free...

Working with Krissy was wonderful! I came here after trying on over 30 dresses (seems excessive, I know) after a recommendation from a friend. After explaining what I was looking for in a dress she had me try on several very pretty dresses however we both knew none of them were exactly what I needed. She kept mentioning there was a dress that was supposed to be in the shop however it was not there the weekend I was visiting. The owner and Krissy both worked to make sure the designer shipped the dress to their store in a timely manner so that I was able to try the dress on within the next week. Once I was there for my 2nd trip in from the city, I walked in and was greeted by Krissy with the dress as well as an idea to try on a few more dresses that were in from the Enaura trunk show she thought I would like. We tried both on and she was right- after searching and searching I was now with Krissy choosing between two gorgeous gowns. I left letting her know I would decide by the end of the weekend. She was very communicative throughout this entire decision process and proceeded to keep me in the loop over the weekend on overall pricing for the gowns as well as the fact that the actual designer would be in the store visiting on Monday. I went in for me 3rd and final trip where I said yes to the dress and was so excited to have the opportunity to discuss the dress and alterations with the designer himself. I am so grateful to have met and had this experience with Krissy who is a true professional and made this experience completely stress free. I felt that she really listened to what i was looking for and from that point on was able to add valuable guidance and honest opinions which I could not have appreciated more.
