We dined here on a Sunday evening when there were two other tables occupied in the restaurant. While the staff were welcoming and friendly, it took us over an hour and a half to complete our meal. During this time they also had 3 carry out orders, but it certainly should not have taken that long for us to be served and to eat. If the food had been great, we wouldn’t have minded. But unfortunately that was not the case. We enjoyed the artichoke jalapeño dip appetizer, which was probably the best part of the meal. It was creamy with just the right amount of heat from the jalapeño, and served with toasted bread slices. As an entree I ordered the tagliatelle pasta with pesto, which was described as having roasted tomatoes, pesto, and fresh diced mozzarella. When it arrived after a significant wait, the homemade pasta was cooked al dente, but there were no roasted tomatoes, the pesto was thick and mixed with melted mozzarella, so strings hung down as pasta strands were picked up- not very appetizing. My dinner partner also had tagliatelle, but his was prepared al Sugo. It was more of a bolognese sauce than braised beef with marinara and pancetta, but still better than the pesto. We decided to have dessert, and ordered a Berry Berry Crisp and a crème brûlée. The crisp was served warm with vanilla ice cream and was runny, but tasty. The crème brûlée was cold, having clearly been made several days before. The top, which should have been torched, had the slightest crust which for some reason they had then sprinkled with powdered sugar. The crème, which should be a rich custard actually tasted like a pudding mix and was dried out. When our server asked how the dessert was (seeing that the crème brûlée had been mostly uneaten), we told him that the brûlée was disappointing. He went away and came back about five minutes later asking what we thought could make the brûlée better (an odd question, but I explained the problem I had with it to him). It took 10 minutes for us to receive the check after asking for it, and at this point there was one other table besides us in the restaurant. Sadly, the meal was definitely not worth the cost, and we...

It is hard to pinpoint my absolute favorite dishes because they were all so delicious. Definitely try the roasted chicken with sage and champagne butter over polenta cake. If meat is more your style, then you must have the delicious slow cooked pot roast over veggies and mashed potatoes. There is also excellent appetizers and other entrée options such as Salmon Roulade, NY Strip, Eggplant Polenta, and many others. (See pics to help fuel your appetite)
Capuli is a fresh and unique “must-have” bright spot in the community. They are currently open for dine-in, takeout, and delivery via Grubhub and Uber eats. Read moreThe moment I stepped into Capuli I felt transported into the Mediterranean. It reminded me of the restaurants in Santorini with its arches and romantic table settings. The food lived up to and exceeded expectations from other reviews I read before choosing to pop in.
I ordered the grilled flank steak sandwich with fries and my wife ordered the Eggplant Polenta Napoleon. I would order the sandwich for lunch every day if I could. The jalapeño cilantro aioli is worth the visit alone. A ciabatta roll that’s soft and tastes freshly baked. I took a bit of my wife’s polenta and it’s a good thing I did early on because she devoured it. I’m not usually one for eggplant but it’s one of those dishes that makes me think I could be vegetarian if I ate that quality of veggie dish - and that’s saying a lot for an Argentinian who eats more meat than he should.
Finally, the dessert. I am not a chocolate mousse fan. I repeat, I am not a chocolate mousse fan. However… I am a fan of Capuli’s chocolate mousse. Everything from the texture in the flavor was perfect and completed one of the more memorable lunches I’ve...
