The Art Room — Attraction in Wheeling Township

Not every artist can teach. My husband said that to me when I asked him to teach our daughter art. He studied art in college and he works as an industrial artist by trade. But, he told me, he is unable to teach art to someone else, esp. a child, esp. our child, whose vision of art is not connect the dots but let show you what I can do first and you can provide some pointers in the process. Ms. Weres can do that for her and with her guidance, our daughter's abilities have matured quite a bit. She's learned shadowing and dimension. She's worked with different materials and honed in on both old skills and new ones. We are always amazed by each new art piece she brings home. She LOVES Ms. Susan's studio guidance. We love that she is able to dabble in a variety of art disciplines and learn from a great teacher and other student artists in a small group setting. Since she wants to study art in college, we feel that The Art Room is giving her a chance to experiment here first before we get those hefty university credit bills in the near future. My daughter Anastasia (who is 10 years old now) joined The Art Room 4 years ago. She liked Ms.Weres from the very first lesson and she is still always exited to go to The Art Room. Ms.Weres is very responsive and always willing to schedule a makeup lesson if we miss a class. She keeps the room clean and safe.

The Art Room provides young, gifted artists not only a conducive environment for learning and unleashing innate creativity, but also an enriching experience wherein its students get to hone their skills, deepen their self-expression, and foster a connection (be it with family/loved ones and friends) through their artworks.
