I managed to kill 3 birds with one stone while at this Mall. First of all, I went to Michael's because I had ordered some crochet hooks, 50% off, online for in store pickup. I was able to do that without a hitch. Also, I wanted to check out their plants because I wanted a decent size plant for the corner of my living room. I went in thinking of one plant that I had viewed online, but when I got there, not only were there quite a few plants to choose from, I was actually able to get EXACTLY the plant that I had envisioned in my head for that spot. And it was on sale for 50% off! Trust me, the bigger plants are not cheap. And before I checked out, I wanted to check out their yarn section to see if they had any colors that I liked that I couldn't find at their store in Easton, where I usually go. I was able to find a couple of colors that were perfect for some patterns I had. I also noticed that while the Michael's that I usually shop at in Easton, which appears larger, the Michael's in Whitehall had a much bigger and better amount of inventory and items to choose from. So while it's further from my house and a little less convenient, I think this is the better store to go to. So everything I purchased was on sale for 50% off plus, through their emails, I had an extra 20% off coupon which was also good for sale items. And those coupons are rare. Great time there š Then I quickly dropped into Catherine's to return a swimsuit that I had purchased last week. I'm a plus size, so it's really hard to find a decent swimsuit. But I was able to find a great suit at Walmart, so I was able to return the one to Catherine's. I get so mad because, as a plus size, it's extremely hard to find decent clothes that don't break the bank. The swimsuit that I purchased at Catherine's cost $71, and that was with a 40% off sale! And finally, right next to Catherine's was a Payless shoe store which was closing down. They have been having liquidation sales for a while since they are going out of business, but even though I desperately needed new sneakers, I generally don't have the time or money to get new shoes. So just for a lark, I went in and to my surprise I quickly found a pair of sneakers that were my size and really comfortable. And the price was great. $35 sneakers for only $17! Can't beat that. So, all in all, a great trip to the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent to Buy Buy Baby to purchase a carseat and happen to find a crib/bed of interest to purchase. The sales associate that assisted was extremely helpful and advised the crib would be broken down and ready for pick up on Monday (we purchased on a Friday). As instructed I called prior to coming to the store to make sure it was ready and was told it was being wrapped and would be available in .5 hour. I then went about 1.5 hr later to pick it up and saw it was not broken down at all. The manager was called to the front and advised it would take about 1.5 hrs to do that and she and another associate started taking it apart. She stated it should've been taken apart as it could not fit thru the door otherwise. My husband assisted and also asked the male manager for assistance in getting a dolly for carrying the the pieces. Everyone except the cashier on duty at the time offered no apologies for this gross inconvenience and the male manager on staff said he didn't have time to assist. The crib was not broken down proper therefore it would not fit in our vehicle and after it was partially broken down both the manager and employees assisting in breaking it down walked off didn't offer any kind of assistance in getting it to our vehicle. At that point I was so disappointed with the poor service received I went back in and asked for a refund and took the crib back into the store. What poor service, I will never recommend or purchase anything from this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI do not go to this mall. I only go to 1 store outside. This mall has been lacking for years. There is so much opportunity wasted to draw people inside. I have not had any interest in the mall since the clover store and movie theater days. They even lost Arby's. There is a small stand there but really nothing there to offer in the sense of a food court. There is a comic store inside but you wouldn't know that from the outside. It is very poorly run. Make a freaking effort in the place or just close it down completely! Just wasting the potential for that space in my opinion. Take Westgate mall for example. It's small yet made a major impact on itself and now has way more visitors than before. New attraction, New construction of a face lift and the repositioning of a grocery store to open up other potential in the other part of the mall. Why is this so hard for Whitehall mall. Is it run by someone with a slumlord mentality that just wants to take in cash and not...
