Whittier Travel Inn — Attraction in Whittier

I only needed to rent a room for the night before heading back home. I checked in and the man at the window was not pleasant. It was quiet so I thought nothing much of it, yet once I entered the room, I wished I had known before I paid what it would look like. I am going off a limb here to assume the worst of this place, but it felt like is just a place where people might come to use it for a few hours. The bathroom was dirty, the carpet too and the bed sheets although washed (I hope they were) had stains on them, even the pillow covers. The room next over, was under some sort of construction and even though it was well past 10:30pm, they were pounding at something. Past midnight, unable to sleep I thought of calling the front desk, but there was no way to call as there are no phones inside the room. One creepy thing that made me feel more uncomfortable is the fact that the ceiling has a mirror right above the bed. Close to 11:30pm, there was a lot of pounding coming from the room above. I don't usually make accusation of racism. Sometimes its just a matter of perspective. Ill let you be the judge. As soon as came to the registration window, the Indian lady looked at me strangely. She asked if I had a reservation which I did. Then she said...I don't think we have any more rooms. Her husband came out and confirmed no rooms dispite my reservation. I had to sit in the parking lot to make other reservations. A white lady walked in, and I see her being given a room key. When I went back in and asked about them saying there were no rooms available, the Indian lady stated, She had a reservation. I told her I did too and you denied me.
