Store very nicely decorated. Good selection of samples with parking available in area. Nice variety of products in addition to peanuts, including other nuts, mustards, jams, kitchen products, chocolates, salsa's, dips and collectable souvenir trinkets. We went on 2 different days and had very different experiences. One time we spoke with the manager who was very knowledgeable and welcoming. The 2nd day we went there were 2 employees who were indifferent to us even being in the store. They carried on their conversations amongst themselves speaking of prior guests coming in and not buying products and we're more concerned about hanging bumblebee prop decorations rather then assisting/ greeting customers. It is for this reason that a lower score was given. It was still worth the visit due to the product and its convenient location being in the heart of Colonial Williamsburg. Note - there are other peanut vendors in the near vicinity with equally good products and IMHO...

Service has gone downhill but more importantly, if you’re planning on grabbing yourself some delicious, one-of-of-a-kind chocolate covered peanut brittle, save your time!!!! They don’t have it!!! It’s been one of my all time favorite treats and I was so excited to show my boyfriend when we took a trip solely for that, and it had completely disappeared. We went again a couple months later and none. I’ve checked the website and it’s not there. So disappointing and I have no reason to go back. Not sure how late I am to finding this out, but I know NUMEROUS people who have gone to this shop for 20 years with one purchase in mind, and it is no longer an option. Bring back the chocolate covered brittle, convince me that you aren’t bothered by my presence when I walk in the store, and I...

Be very careful about paying for express shipping! I paid $15 for a delivery that stated in 2-3 business days. This policy is reflected on their website. My initial email confirmation from their chosen UPS delivery service, showed arrival within the 3 day window. A subsequent update from UPS indicated arrival 3 days later. I called The Peanut Shop and their initial reaction was to advise me to deal with UPS. I didn't select UPS, they did. I wanted a $15 credit for the late delivery. Their solution? Reroute the package back to their home base and refund my total payment within 14 business days. Seems like a lot of extra work to avoid issuing a $15 credit. Oh yes, and they have lost a customer that also did previous...

I ordered a can of chocolate covered almonds and received a can filled with hundreds of tiny pieces of chocolate with no almonds in them. The almonds that were present were blemished. I notified the company. They said we care about quality control but I was not offered a replacement or even a coupon for a future purchase. Not cool when you pay by weight and premium prices to boot. I did my part by providing the lot and serial number so they could prevent other customers form being disappointed. I cannot recommend the Peanut Shop of Williamsburg. BTW, I called the number posted by the owner, left detailed info with the person on the line. She said corporate would get back to me. Surprise surprise no phone call!

I fondly remember visiting The Peanut Shop when I was a kid and we visited Williamsburg so it's been a while. I do remember that the peanuts were delicious so had to go in and get some. This store is packed full of peanuts and other nuts that are also flavored in addition to roasted and unsalted or lightly salted. They also have novelty candies, spices, sp mixes, etc. The only somewhat off putting thing is that the prices are fairly high, but if you go with the sales then the pain is slightly less. Don't miss the peanut brittle though...
