Extremely disappointed with the William & Mary Bookstore... or should say "Spirit Shop"... or whatever else is left at this point from what it used to be. I placed an order for a frame for my diploma in July that stated on the website it was in-stock and ready to ship. Days later I receive an email from the store manager stating that the item was backordered. I reached out and asked how that could be the case when the website says differently, and was told that it was due to incorrect stock information. The item was pulled from the website and I asked if I was still going to receive it as I noticed it had gone missing, and was told yes by the manager, that Church Hill Classics was producing it and they were waiting for it to come in... This was August 8th. On September 28th, two months after placing the order - the manager cancels the order and says that the item was discontinued, yet it's still for sale on their website at a higher price. I contact Church Hill Classics directly, who stated that it was not discontinued and they offered me a lower price to purchase directly from them. Extremely disappointing, but not surprised as this shop can't even answer the phone... or carry books... Shop at the Campus...

When I went to check on google to see if they moved it I was excited to find out that they did move it. The new building looked cooler but when I went inside It turned out that it was just another spirit shop. The only books they had was a small shelf with barely anything on it. They used to be connected to barned and nobles and apparently they still are. If they are why would they only have a shelf full of books and not make that whole room a book area. They have plenty of space for the college merch including the other building. There was barely any manga or other graphic novels either. I understand if you're only selling the essentials for the college students but at least make it convenient and closer for them to get a little more variety. The nearest Barnes and nobles is about 10 or 20 mins away.
Don't even call it a bookstore if that small shelf is all the books you got. Its such a nice area. It needs a...

We have lived in Yorktown for 3 0 years and have always enjoyed taking out of town visitors to Williamsburg and always made a stop at the am and Mary bookstore. Yesterday was a total embarrassment because of the rude treatment our guests received. Since masks are no longer required for people who have been vaccinated, according to the president and governor, we werenāt wearing masks. When we entered without masks , the sales person asked if we had masks and we said ānoā.The young lady said abruptly, Then you will have to leaveā She then pointed to the door and escorted us out. We told her she didnāt need to escort us and she indicated she DID . We was MOST INHOSPITABLE! We will...
