Where do I begin… The food was just okay, but it certainly didn’t justify the steep prices. I ordered the hibachi with white rice and shrimp, while my wife opted for the hibachi with fried rice and chicken. Additionally, I got an eel roll and miso soup. Unfortunately, there’s no kids menu, so for our 5 and 7-year-olds, we ordered ramen with a veggie broth, which honestly tasted like soy sauce.
Our order was ready in a mere five minutes, which isn’t necessarily a good sign. It suggests that the food isn’t freshly prepared, and they’re overcharging for pre-made dishes. The total bill came to $62. To put that into perspective, we dined at Cheddar’s the night before, and for four meals and an alcoholic beverage, we paid the same amount, including the tip.
The service was lackluster at best. The server did nothing beyond taking our order; he wasn’t friendly or communicative, just very indifferent. Needless to say, we won’t be returning. The food wasn’t terrible, but it certainly wasn’t worth the price, especially considering it...
Read moreWhen it rains usually I really crave something soupy or spicy with warmth. I was looking around and found this place that sells Ramen and rolls as well. First of all no matter how good the noodle is the soup base has to taste rich and not feel like the ingredients were held back. Now I ordered spicy ton Ramen from the place. The carryout bag was packed really nicely and all the utensils were there adequately. They have separated the soup and noodle well. Spicy sauce came also separated so you can adjust the flavor accordingly. When I mixed the soup and noodle, added just slightly amount of spicy sauce, it tasted really good. I really recommend them because the combination of them was amazing for the rainy day =). Try them out! One thing I have to say about them is. This guy was keep saying contact less service like three times but he took the credit card with his bare hands and did the transaction by himself with it and then handed not wiped credit card back to me. I think you guys should just not say contact less when it...
Read moreIf you want sushi, go somewhere else. That being said if you want ramen, this place is amazing. I can't tell you if it is authentic I am not Japanese nor have I ever been to Japan. I got the Tonkotsu with pork made it spicy as they suggested on their website. I was not disappointed. Flavorful and filling. The egg was hard boiled not soft like I was expecting. I got the godzilla roll and it was eh. Very sloppy in presentation and construction. pieces were not full cut and also rolled loosely. They fell apart super easily.
To drink was bubble tea. If you never had it, you must try it. cold refreshing with a surprise chewy sweet ball every now and then.
Pricing was higher than I would like, however it was a lot of ramen and they make everything in house so its understandable.
Service was fast, restaurant is clean and simple. As with ALL of downtown Williamsburg parking can be difficult depending on time of day, the day it self and time of year. Between tourist season and...
