I do not give reviews, but this is very important for you all to read. We've been vacationing in Williamsburg, VA for over 5 years. We used to visit Lancaster, PA every year. We love the resort, family atmosphere, quiet town, pleasant people. There are some places that we frequent every year. I have 7 children and they look forward to Cracker Barrel breakfast, Trading Post souvenirs, Goodwill treasures, outlet shopping, Anna's dinner menu, Dairy Queen, Yankee Candle sweetness, and the General Store ice cream. This year was no different, we thought, except the General Store was now called Bubba's Ice Cream. When my children and I entered the store and made our way to the ice cream counter, 4 employees stood turned away from us and did not acknowledge us at all. They held their own conversation for over 10 minutes, while we all waited patiently to be helped. My husband, took a seat at a booth with the baby because we were just standing at the counter waiting. I didn't want to be rude and interrupt the "important" conversation and I refuse to draw any negative attention to us. Finally, I just single filed my brood back through the store, out of the door, ages 18yrs-18mos. We were a little disappointed, but we realized we weren't as important to them. Even when we began to walk away, no one called after us to see if we needed help or to ask if we found anything we wanted. Surely, one of the employees had to have seen 9 people standing at the counter pointing at ice cream flavors. Our maybe we were all invisible! We went to Dairy Queen and will continue visiting there from...
Read moreLoved the store until today. God forbid you touch a bobble head. As a paying customer I would pay for anything I accidently broke. In this case I didn’t break a thing but it still didn’t stop the bearded leprechaun from making a scene by yelling across the store and telling me not to touch the bobble heads. He could of walked up to me. The store was really busy with patrons and the whole store turned around a looked at us. I didn’t know he was talking to me until I decided to look over. It was horrible customer service. Needless to say I will never go in there again. The manager did apologize but then the employees were talking about it and we’re looking at me like I’m the one who did something wrong. The patrons were very supportive with me based on the comments received afterwards.
My 13 year mentioned they should use a lockable case for their beloved bobble heads. That way no one touches them. Good advice!
Let me add I’m an adult not a kid. The post below is correct .. kids touch things and...
