I do not give reviews, but this is very important for you all to read. We've been vacationing in Williamsburg, VA for over 5 years. We used to visit Lancaster, PA every year. We love the resort, family atmosphere, quiet town, pleasant people. There are some places that we frequent every year. I have 7 children and they look forward to Cracker Barrel breakfast, Trading Post souvenirs, Goodwill treasures, outlet shopping, Anna's dinner menu, Dairy Queen, Yankee Candle sweetness, and the General Store ice cream. This year was no different, we thought, except the General Store was now called Bubba's Ice Cream. When my children and I entered the store and made our way to the ice cream counter, 4 employees stood turned away from us and did not acknowledge us at all. They held their own conversation for over 10 minutes, while we all waited patiently to be helped. My husband, took a seat at a booth with the baby because we were just standing at the counter waiting. I didn't want to be rude and interrupt the "important" conversation and I refuse to draw any negative attention to us. Finally, I just single filed my brood back through the store, out of the door, ages 18yrs-18mos. We were a little disappointed, but we realized we weren't as important to them. Even when we began to walk away, no one called after us to see if we needed help or to ask if we found anything we wanted. Surely, one of the employees had to have seen 9 people standing at the counter pointing at ice cream flavors. Our maybe we were all invisible! We went to Dairy Queen and will continue visiting there from...

Loved the store until today. God forbid you touch a bobble head. As a paying customer I would pay for anything I accidently broke. In this case I didn’t break a thing but it still didn’t stop the bearded leprechaun from making a scene by yelling across the store and telling me not to touch the bobble heads. He could of walked up to me. The store was really busy with patrons and the whole store turned around a looked at us. I didn’t know he was talking to me until I decided to look over. It was horrible customer service. Needless to say I will never go in there again. The manager did apologize but then the employees were talking about it and we’re looking at me like I’m the one who did something wrong. The patrons were very supportive with me based on the comments received afterwards.

My 13 year mentioned they should use a lockable case for their beloved bobble heads. That way no one touches them. Good advice!

Let me add I’m an adult not a kid. The post below is correct .. kids touch things and...

The Williamsburg General Store is one of my favorite spots to visit, especially when I’m in the mood for some delicious ice cream. The store has a nostalgic charm that makes every visit feel like stepping back in time. They offer an impressive variety of ice cream flavors, making it the perfect place to cool down and treat yourself.

But the Williamsburg General Store is so much more than just ice cream. The eclectic mix of items they offer is truly unique. From old-style toys like cap guns to vintage candies that bring back childhood memories, there's something for everyone. And if you’re into quirky nic-nacs, this is definitely the place to explore—you never know what hidden gem you might find!

Overall, the Williamsburg General Store is a delightful experience, whether you're there for ice cream, to browse their unique collection, or just to soak in the nostalgic atmosphere. Highly recommend stopping by if you're...

The General store had plenty of unique and fun gifts. If you are looking for political gifts you must stop. There was also quite a bit of simply southern and civil war stuff. The ice cream shop inside had delicious ice cream with a large Selection. The kid cup was really about 2 scoops and all you needed. The cost for a kid cup was about $5. We had wild cherry and vanilla bean. The guy at the register did a great job in tuning into his customers and was able to carry on conversation with each. They had CBD gummy’s for $15 and CBD for pets. I’ve never tried any of it and didn’t purchase it. We purchased a gag gift and got a ten percent discount for military which was nice.

A must stop if you need any souvenirs from your Williamsburg visit. This General store also has all the fun stuff you would expect from a General store. The Best part is it's a family owned business!! We always try our best to support "Small Business" whenever and wherever we go. Bubba's Ice cream is also a part of the General store. It was very good ice Cream with a nice portion for a fair price. I would highly recommend the Williamsburg General store during your Visit.

This is a good sized shop with souvenirs, gag gifts, specialty foods, gifts, and more. It pretty much has all the touristy things you are looking for under one roof as well as the typical items you would find in a general store. There is also an ice cream shop inside, Bubba’s Ice Cream Shack. With all the rave reviews of the ice cream, I was disappointed to see it is just Edy’s ice cream that is sold in every grocery store.
