CAUTION- NOT CLEAN AND POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS!! I went about a month ago to see Raya with my kids and a small party, it was a 2pm showing on a Saturday and the first showing in that theatre of the day. They had rows blocked off for Covid, which is fine but what’s not ok is that you couldn’t see the thin dark string they had used to block rows off. When you’re entering a dark theatre make sure people are able to see what’s being blocked off! My son tripped over one of them (because he couldn’t see the string), and fell HARD on his knees. Thankfully my son is a big kid and he only got some bruising and was sore for a few days but if that had been an elderly person or a small child it could’ve been so much worse! When I approached the manager she explained that there should be signs attached to the rope and that sometimes “kids took them down”, ummm ok so the theatre wasn’t cleaned after the last showing? Because half the blocked off rows didn’t have signs, that is not “Covid cleaning procedures” they claim to have in place. She took my information for an incident report but never got back in touch with me. I tried to contact AMC directly and that was a huge pain, I had to contact them on Facebook, unprofessional in my opinion. After I sent a Facebook message I got one phone call from an outside party that handled claims and said she’d send me information to my email, never heard from her again. AMC never reached out for anything, not even an apology or checking up to ask if my son was ok. I wouldn’t visit an AMC theatre again after this incident, I wish I could attach the picture I took of the sting that isn’t visible in the dark. If you’re going to block off rows make sure people can see it and clean your theatre so that the signs are in place and if something does happen because of your negligence AMC, you could at least try to...
Read moreWe visited this location for the first time today. There were several issues with this theater. To begin with their system of running their box office at the concessions stand is problematic at best. There was a massive line and no line separation between customers who simply wanted to pay for tickets, and those who may have purchased tickets online in advance to purchase concessions, or had already purchased tickets, and had come back to purchase concessions. To make matters worse, they had two cash registers open during a busy matinee showing, on what is a holiday weekend. One of the cashiers had a sign up that read, I’m training, please be patient. Perhaps it would be a better decision by management to staff a trainee during a slower time, not when it is as busy as it was. We arrived 30 minutes prior to show time and had pre-purchased our tickets. We then spent an hour in line for concessions. Fortunately, 30 plus minutes of previews were shown, or we might have missed our movies beginning.
Additionally, I used the women’s restroom during our movie. It was clearly not a peak time for bathroom usage, as it was completely empty when I went in to use it. However, the bathroom was filthy. It looked like it had not been cleaned since prior to the theater opening for the morning. Staff should be taking advantage of slow times in between movies ending, to maintain hygienic bathrooms. Most of the stalls were grimy and/or clogged.
We made the trip to this location, due to it being a holiday weekend, we were concerned that our local theater would be full for the movie we wanted to see. After visiting this location, and seeing how things are managed, I doubt we will be back. Very disappointing compared to other AMCs that we...
Read moreI generally love this theater. So I dont want to be that guy that leaves a bad review just because of one off hand experience. But I do want to address it so it hopefully doesn't happen again in the future. Tonight I went to see Tron: Ares. Specifically in 2D, because 3D gives me headaches and sometimes makes me sick. Arrived, wasnt handed 3D glasses, so assumed everything was good. Well, once the previews started, they were blurry. First one, thought maybe it was just a bad copy or something and it'd get adjusted before the movie started. As they went on, they did not get better. So clearly, must've accidentally picked 3D even though I swore I did not. Went up front to get glasses, the nice woman working said my movie wasn't in 3D. I assured her that unless the blurriness in my vision magically disappeared when I exited the theater, it was in fact in 3D. She looked at her list, my theater, Theater 12, was not listed as being 3D on her list. Someone from concessions hollared over letting her know that theater is in 3D, but whatever paper she had begged the differ. Myself, and the dozen or so other people all had to run up front to get 3D glasses, none of us wanted it in 3D. Or at least didn't pay for it. So I'm not sure where the fix for that is, but a lot of miscommunication is at hand. I personally bought my tickets through the Fandango app. Not sure of how others purchased there's. But even Fandango said it was to be a 2D showing. So yeah, just wanted to put that out there to...
