Offers good possibilities for dining and shopping. Found a good place to park to eat at P. F. Chang's, a good place to eat if you're craving Asian fusion dining options. Their classic appetizer and 6 layer rich chocolate cake provide a wonderful way to begin and end a generous amount of food for the special $20 3 course dinner per couple. Dessert is not included, but an appetizer to share is. Choose a soup or salad and an entrée, which also includes a bowl of rice (brown or white). We had more than enough leftovers for another meal, and the additional $10 fried rice (regular, chicken, or beef) to go combined with the massive piece of cake could easily feed 3 people. When my fortune cookie was missing a fortune, the pleasant server brought me another one. The only part of the meals that neither of us cared for were the strange noodles that accompanied my husband's orange chicken, but there was plenty of rice to add anyway, so we could avoid them. In fact, the next day, I added both of our remaining meals to my wok for another complete dinner. My chicken, sauce, and veggies brought enhanced flavor to his somewhat bland chicken and with both brown and white rice combined to provide an excellent dining experience. For dessert, we each enjoyed a layer of the cake with several of the blueberries included, along with whip cream that I already had. It was peaceful at home, unlike when we arrived at the restaurant. An extended family/friends with rowdy children jumped about yelling and screaming. One of the adults held a girl up high, encouraging their disruptive behavior. We were relieved when they left when our entrées arrived. The rest of the evening was delightful, but I felt badly for those who had to endure the situation longer. If it had appeared as if they would remain much longer, we would have asked to be seated...
Read moreI recently spent the afternoon at Winter Park Village Outdoor Shopping Center, and overall, it was a great experience. The layout is spacious and walkable, with wide pathways, plenty of greenery, and a welcoming, open-air vibe that makes shopping feel more relaxed than being inside a mall. There’s a solid mix of stores—everything from popular national brands to a few unique local boutiques. I especially liked the small artisan shop near the fountain that sold handmade jewelry and candles. The anchor stores are well-maintained, and most of the smaller shops were clean and well-stocked. Dining options are impressive. Whether you're in the mood for a sit-down meal or just grabbing stiff cocktail or a bottled water, there’s something for everyone. I tried a few restaurants and was not disappointed. Seating areas with umbrellas should be added because Florida is just way too hot. Parking was decent, but not the easiest and I can imagine it can get tight on weekends. There’s no parking garage, but the surface lots are well-marked and relatively close to the center. The only downside was that a few stores were vacant or under renovation, which broke up the flow a bit. But overall, the experience was enjoyable and felt safe, clean, and well-maintained. Great for an afternoon outing, especially on a sunny day. I’ll...
Read moreWinter Park Village is probably one of the most calming yet entertaining place in Orange county. If you want to escape all the tourist attractions and the crazy outlets this place is right up your alley. It's not to crowded so you can move freely from store to store, the places you can eat and rest varies from bars, vegan food, frozen yogurt, and even a cheesecake factory. Not to mention a publix supermarket not to far from the movie theater that is walking distance! My favorite part about winter park village is that they're two playing boards one for chess, and the other for checkers which are huge and very fun to push definitely made me reminisce Wizard Chess from the Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's stone! The two downs sides are during rush hour there is heavier traffic than usual especially around the 8pm mark so be very aware of the commute coming into or out of Winter Park Village. Another thing I've noticed is there isn't a lot of name brand shops but clothing options are there, however if you're looking for name brands like Levi, Nike, Van's, and Converse you will not find that here but I had so much fun here I didn't mind the downsides. I'll definitely be back an explore the bars and food a...
