I stayed here June 11th-13th for my baby shower because i live an hour and 40 minutes from the venue. I checked in late with the mobile key with no problem around 1:30am. Saturday was my baby shower in south Plainfield and it was conveniently close to the venue, the kitchen was decent but the dishes were dirty. Saturday night close to 12am i found a bed bug in my bed and called the front desk. There was no other rooms available so 8 months pregnant i had to stay in the room and barely sleep. I had bite marks on me which i didn't notice at first. I stayed on the couch for the rest of the night, Sunday morning when i woke up i found another one in the room on the bed again. I took videos of both incidents and reported it to the front desk. The person at the front desk showed housekeeping and proceeded to tell me they could give me double points or a discount my next stay for the inconvenience. I found out that they were short staffed so housekeeping only cleaned the occupied rooms on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I also heard other people complaining of this issue as well. I contacted customer service and still waiting for information from them. I received an email 6/15 from the management at this location and said their pest control didn't find any infestation and i would be only compensated for 25% of my first nights stay.... I'm completely in disbelief and disappointed in the company and for the expensive i paid for the experience i had that was completely unacceptable and highly offensive. They need to do better at this location... Update, they didn't take anything off of my stay and charged me full price…

I'm a lifetime platinum member and used my points for this stay, also tried to use my annual benefits to get an upgrade and sadly it wasn't available but no big deal. Staff: front was nice and check-in was easy. I asked about any potential upgrades and the lady let me know they were sold out. The room attendants were all very nice. The room: I got room 239, as soon as my family and I walked in we noticed a funky odor. It didn't go away even though the AC was blasting. We then noticed the clawed up sofas and understood we got put in a room that normally had dogs - hence the smell. Other call outs included rattling fridge, broken lightbulb, hair in the fridge and an empty scented vent clip which I assume they originally used to cover up the dog smell. Room was definitely dated, especially the bathroom. Bed was clean and we only stayed one night so we didn't bother complaining. The breakfast: It was the normal residence inn offerings - bacon, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, bagels, ham egg cheese croissant, the most watered down oatmeal I've ever seen, waffles and bananas. Staff made sure to keep items well stocked. I didn't love the fact that they used plastic wrap to keep the eggs from sticking to the warming dish. Parking: plenty of parking was available all over the property but be careful not to park by the residential apartments nearby. Swimming pool: Decent heated swimming pool, could probably use some maintenance for the rust stains. They use salt water which was a bonus. It seems like Residence Inn rents out their pool to a swim school, just fyi.

Beautiful Location, but Operational Challenges My stay at the Marriott Hotel, situated inside the picturesque Stowe Ski Resort, was a mix of stunning views and operational difficulties. The hotel's location offers great views and direct access to the ski resort, making it an ideal choice for ski enthusiasts. However, we encountered a series of issues, particularly with parking and the on-site restaurants. It seemed like the hotel, being a large resort, struggled with effective management. The customer service at the restaurants was notably poor, detracting from our dining experience. Acknowledging these issues, the manager did offer us credit for the restaurant, which was a considerate gesture but didn't entirely make up for the shortcomings. The beauty of the location and the proximity to Stowe Ski Resort are definite pluses, but the operational challenges we faced indicated a need for better management and customer service training. This contrast between the hotel's excellent location and its service flaws made our stay a mixed experience.

Alot to go over, but I'll try my best. This is a large, 3 floor hotel, with abundant parking. This hotel is pet friendly, which is fantastic since it's hard to find accommodation for dogs. It was nice that they had a designated green space to walk dogs, too.

My family stayed here for at least 2 months. Upon arrival, there were no window guards, which is extremely dangerous with young children. I requested maintenance to take a look, and they installed temporary blocks that can easily be removed again. We were first located upstairs but requested to be moved closer to the entrance for convenience, which the hotel accommodated after 2 weeks. When we moved to the 1st floor, the window locks were not working. I didn't feel safe, so I requested the hotel to fix it immediately, which they did NOT. I asked 3x, and nobody showed up. I ended up fixing myself. The front door would also lock me in, and the dishwasher was disgusting. I assumed the dishwasher was broken because water would back up into it and stink and overflow, but I was told it had something to do with the food disposal. I got the overall impression that the owner is cheap and wouldn't replace the unit if I asked. I understand that inflation is through the roof but come on. The lock issue was never fixed and neither was the dishwasher (atleast not they way I wish it would have been resolved). The pots and pans were so cheap so we couldn't cook there because everything stuck or burned. Also, the ventilation didn't work.

GARBAGE is another issue. It's a large, extended stay hotel. There's no compactor room so the garbage adds up fast. I was advised I can leave outside the door but then got in trouble for doing so. I understand that being an issue as well (believe me) but it put me in an uncomfortable position feeling like I am a pain in the ... to take my garbage when I can toss myself if there were a trash receptacle in the common area. Towels!!! These would run short- throughout the hotel on a regular basis. Again, I felt like owner is REALLY CHEAP. just restock, don't send your staff banging on my door to collect towels that they would never bring back. Some staff do not speak English at all. Although very pleasant, I couldn't communicate with them when I needed the basic item.

Breakfast: at first, I was intimated by the staff because one gentleman would stare at me, taking food for my large family. After a while, I didn't care because we were paying customers, and it's an extended stay hotel. The ladies who put out breakfast are sweethearts (thank you). They are friendly and personable. There is a variety of food every morning and decent hours too (I think until 10:30 on weekends) .

Pool: The pool was nice and enjoyable. On 2 occasions, there were no towels at all (available in the hotel). Now I'm sure staff complained to the owner and the owner doesn't want to spend $$$. The hot tub was closed off and no longer there in case anyone was interested.

Room service: we didn't use room service because we had dogs with up, but room service went from all week when we first arrived to 3x weekly to having to sign up for service. Idk, we travel a lot. I've never heard of that before. Cleaning the room was always an option every day unless it was declined wherever I went before . Again, it seems to be owners trying to save $$. I don't understand. They have contracts with Amtrack and am almost full or sold out on a regular basis.

I didn't get to use the grill, but there's a nice BBQ grill for the summer and a beautiful firepit right at the front entrance. There's also a basketball court that anyone can use with their own basketball or borrow the hotels by asking the front desk.

Overall I liked the hotel and staff, I would stay again. I would definitely recommend revamping your marketing and try to be nicer to your employees, their happiness would reflect on the interactions...

So let's start off this review with the front desk. Some of them are friendly and a great help and some need training again.

Now lets go to breakfast. I really wish they had better breakfast. The oatmeal is watery. Coffee taste like it is old and they never wash the coffee machine. The tables were dirty. The dishes looked like they were ran through just hot water and no soap. I was very disappointed with the breakfast.

Now let's talk about the pool place. There are towels everywhere. As a guest you should pick up your towel and put it in the basket but for the guest who are to good for that the housekeeping will not bother picking them up. I saw the same towel there for days! When you ask for towels for the pool they will give you the white towels. There is this machine that is there and covered up. you can see the rust on it and its gross. The pool itself is dirty. They might clean the pool after weeks. While i was swimming in the pool i looked down and there was a bunch of hair in there. The water looked murkie. That is how you know the pool is not clean. The windows in the pool area are dirty. Around the pool looks like no one cares to clean it. You can see the smudges all over the windows. It looks really bad! The hot tub has been out of order for a hot minute now. Another annoying thing i came across is that they were swimming lessons going on. I did not know that guest have to deal with swimming classes. I think that is very unprofessional and very uncomfortable.

Now about the rooms..... They are a good size rooms it's just that they smell dingy. Thinking it is just me i wanted to give them the benefit of doubt. Friday Housekeeping came and let me tell you how i was shocked with their cleaning. They will not wipe the nightstands. The headboard you can see marks on there as well. I left some stuff there and when i came back it was still there. The linen does not smell clean at all. Nothing they put out smells clean or washed. It has a very dingy smell. The bathroom mirrors you can see the smudges and toothpaste marks. The wall to the side of the mirror you can see toothpaste marks there as well. The shower area the only thing they do in the tub is rinse it with water. There was hair along side the walls on the toilet seat. and if you looked close enough there was hair behind the bathroom door alongside the walls. Now the kitchen. They do not wipe down the counters at all. The dishes in the dishwater are only run through water. When we came back and went to use the dishes there was food marks still on there. the glass and spoons had marks on them as well. I then had to put dish detergent in the dishwasher and run it again. The hallways smelly dingy as well. It is like they never clean the carpets. THE PRODUCTS THEY USE IF THEY USE ANY ARE CHEAP AND NASTY. THEY NEED TO RETRAIN OR HIRE NEW CLEANING PEOPLE. There are a few nice cleaning people but majority of them need to learn how to talk to guest and not make them feel uncomfortable.

The guest who stay here regardless them being long term or short term pay money to stay here. The management does not use good cleaning products or the right equipment to clean. Cleaning also does not happen everyday day. I think it is twice a week. When you take money from us for staying there everyday you should have them clean the rooms everyday as well.

I know Marriott is a very well know name. I have stayed at many around the world. I would say that the hotels in third world countries are way cleaner than the one here in Woodbridge NJ. Would i recommend anyone to stay here no never. Management really needs to step up their game in...

If I could give them a ZERO star, I WOULD. My experience with them has been sub-par. I set-up a room block for my sister's wedding about 2 and 1/2 months prior to the wedding. I specifically chose this property for the 2 bedroom suites with the Full Kitchen. We needed the space for the bridal party to get ready (hair, make-up, and etc.) and we had family traveling from Canada with young children that have allergies so they needed a full kitchen to prepare food. We have had issues with this property from the BEGINNING!!

(1) After signing the room block agreement and sending it to my contact person, I asked about how I can reserve the 2 bedroom suite. I was told that the room was available and that I would have to contact central reservations to book it. I contacted reservations only to be told that the 2 bedroom suite was NOT available. I reached to my contact person again and they said that it was available and they made the reservation for me. Why this inconsistency? I do not know.

(2) A few weeks later, one of the bridesmaids tried making reservations for herself only to be told there were no rooms available. She had to make reservations at another hotel. I called the property to inquire about this only to be told by someone at the Residence Inn that there were plenty of rooms available. Why are they telling people that rooms are not available when in fact they are??? I expressed my concern about this and they said the bridesmaid was probably told this because their reservation was not a long term reservation EVEN THOUGH WE HAD A ROOM BLOCK. This logic makes no sense!! I can only imagine how many of our guests tried making a reservation and were turned away.

(3) 2 days before the wedding, the family from Canada was scheduled to check in and they were told that the property was overbooked and they had to be moved. However, they were moved to a property that did not have the full kitchen that they needed. I spoke to Residence Inn manager to express how upset I am that our family is being moved even though we had a room block and they made their reservations months ago. And I also let the manager know that the room we reserved better be available when we check in the next day. He ASSURED me that the room would be available. He also said he was would see if he can move the family back into the Residence Inn the next night.

(4) I called the next day (which is the day before the wedding) to follow up on this at 1.30 PM (please note that check in is at 3 PM) only to be informed that the room that we reserved for the bride and bridesmaids was NOT AVAILABLE. The day before the wedding!! An hour and a half before check in!! And it was I WHO CALLED THEM to find this out. They are moving us to another property but this property does not have a like room to what was reserved. KEEP IN MIND, now I have to contact ALL these vendors because of the address change....and we have make-up artists, hairstylists, and photographers coming to a room that is half the size.

I am LIVID with my experience. Not only do I NOT recommend, I will go out of my way to discourage people personally and professionally from staying at this property. I will not stay at Marriott properties. They are NOT trustworthy. Weddings are stressful enough and they have been nothing but an...
