We came 2 days back-to-back. Our first day we chose the 3 hour unlimited option. The second day we played the arcade games and had the buffet.
The employees: While waiting in line to pay, I was told to go to the other side to pay. I did that, only no one was there. I was now put at the back of the original line with 8 people ahead of me now. I was next in line when told to leave the line. When I finally got back to the counter, the cashier was rude. And, never apologized for her earlier mistake. Every female employee was rude, both days. The young men were doing their jobs and not gossiping, on their phones or wearing earbuds like most of the girls. I NEVER saw an adult employee. Seems to be ran by teenagers. Which explains the unprofessionalism, rudeness and slow service.
The rides: I appreciate the indoor and outdoor options for the Go-Karts. Both are fun and the tracks have sharp turns, also, most karts are fast.
The zip line: It wasn't quite what I expected. It's a seated zip line. Still, I enjoyed it and rode twice. Definitely a good option for someone's first zip line experience.
The bumper cars: They were okay, the area is quite small. Even with only 3 riders, it was incredibly tight because of the empty cars not being removed.
The outside ride: (can't remember the name) it's a typical "county fair" ride. It was good but, I wasn't told to remove my glasses and had to hold them onto my face through the entire ride. I didn't know I would be flipping in multiple directions.
The glow in the dark mini golf: This was pretty neat but, small. I do like that it's indoor and creatively designed.
The arcade games: All are wildly expensive $1‐$2.50 each play. The payout is minimal in comparison.
The buffet: The cost is $16/person, that's more than Golden Corral with way less options. The options on the buffet consisted of: a sad & warm salad bar, bland pasta salads, burnt hot dogs with crusty buns, cold spaghetti and penne with watery alfredo and lukewarm spaghetti sauce, mashed potatoes, clumpy gravy, greasy baked chicken, tasteless & cold mac n cheese, "mystery-meat" meatballs, uncut pizza with extra crust, prepackaged brownies and cookies and best of all; random employees drinks and food on the buffet tables. Pepsi products for beverage choices. My drink would have been the best part of my meal but, I pulled my back from slipping on the soaked floor in front of the Pepsi machines.
The restaurant staff: Most were on their phones or standing/sitting around. I only witnessed one person actually doing work. She was bussing the tables. She was wearing earbuds so it took a couple tries to get her attention when I had a question.
The restrooms: Not the worst but, could use a deep clean to get rid of the urine smell.
The trampolines: We had to purchase special socks to jump. However, we ran out of time to jump. Mostly due to how long it took for the staff to change the racers in the Go-Karts. Instead of seating the next line of racers while another race is going, we had to wait each time for the race to end. This exchange took approximately 10 minutes for each race. This costs an hour of your time away from the 3 hours.
The ride home after the buffet: We left immediately after eating because we all began to feel nauseous. The 10 minute drive felt like an eternity. Not much talking, mostly groaning and dry heaving. With just a few blocks left, cheeks clinched tight and praying for the road to get shorter, the end was in sight. Thankfully, all 3 bathrooms were vacant. We had made it, only to find ourselves with waterfalls coming out of our rears and cold sweats with intermittent vomiting.
The icing on the cake: We're driving cross-country tomorrow at 4am for an 18 hour drive. Not exactly the ideal way to end my son's...
Read moreVisited on a Sunday shortly after they opened. It was our first time visiting so we had questions and didn't kniw what to expect. We ended up getting two 3-hour passes with buffet add-ons and 2 pairs if socks and one mini-golf and buffet separately. It was pretty expensive..
My kiddos are about 44 and 45 inches tall so for "rides" they can do bounce and slide, mini-golf, bumper cars, and lazer tag. They were disappointed they were too short for the coaster. A few things like frog hopper were closed. They tried everything they could.
They said that lazer tag was painful because the equipment was too big, they apparently didn't have a smaller size option. I was surprised by that, if they allow small kids to participate and it's one of the few things they can do, they should accommodate they by having small sized stuff.
My kids really liked the slides and trampoline area and I appreciated that staff was around to monitor/assist.
Only one of the kids tried bumper cars. Several cars were "out of order" which seems pretty inconvenient. She did like the attraction though.
We all did mini-golf. You havd to go to the good counter by the arcade to "purchase" the balls, basically they want to make sure you paid for the attraction or a pass. This could be avoided by having an employee at the outside counter. It was reallg hot out, the family in front of us was too slow and the couple behind us made us feel rushed. Basically we were sandwiched in and then a ball went into a man-made pond and we gave up, tried to leave but couldn't find an easy way to exit. Then we discovered a second course that was empty.. would be nice to have a sign or something indicating the two courses so one doesn't get over-crowded.
Now, let's talk about the buffet. You can come and go, which is nice. We stopped in for salad and basically apps first, it was good. Later we came and got pizza and breadsticks. Near the end we came for cookies and ice cream. Overall I think of the three hours, we were in the buffet area half the time. My kids are slow eaters so that's fine. I definitely think the entire experience was not worth the cost and in the future would definitely just do the jump and slide package and no buffet. There are a couple tasty things at the buffet, notably the spicy pasta dish.
I asked them about having a kids birthday party for 10-15 kids and 22 adults and they said each adult would need a buffet pass in order to stay in the party area. I can't ask all of my guests to pay for that so we'll have to...
Read moreA sponsored Facebook ad for the new blacklight mini golf, was the reason for our visit. This was the first time visiting this specific location, and we came from an hour and a half away, and chose to visit on a Friday afternoon during summer.
The package pricing for attractions is not too bad. Competitive for this type of activity. They offered packages or the ability to purchase attractions individually.
We were informed that a few attractions were closed, including the whole reason we came, the blacklight mini golf. I made the mistake of not calling ahead to see what attractions were closed. When I asked why it was closed when it was just advertised on Facebook that it was "now open", the employee told me that they hadn't figured out how to handle so many people. I kind of feel like it would be handled just like their other mini golf?
They offer an expensive pizza buffet which we did not try because it looked pretty unappetizing and at almost $20 per person we would rather eat elsewhere. There was a desk that offered frozen slush, and prepackaged ice cream. We tried the frozen slushies, which only some of the flavors were available, as that machine was also not working well. The employees at that counter ignored us for almost ten minutes because they were too busy chatting and not paying attention to customers.
The arcade area was mediocre. We played several games. You purchase a gift card type thing and then swipe to play in the arcade and crane machines. It charges two dollars to activate the card, besides the amount you chose to add for games. A couple games (like skee ball) ran at fifty cents per play, and I think the most expensive games was at $3 per play. Earned tickets are also added to your little card and then you can visit the prize shop to collect prizes or take the cards home for another day.
One thing I didn't consider, is checking to see if I can bring in my own bottled water, or like a backpack. There's definitely the ability to visit your vehicle in the parking lot, if you'd like to provide your own snacks. This place would be good in the winter to get out of the house.
If the blacklight mini golf course would have been open, and the staff more attentive, my review would have been three stars instead of two. Please call ahead if...
