LUNA THAI SPA — Hotel in Phú Quốc

Dusit is less than 10 minutes away from the airport. One can see many planes flying across throughout the day but noise is minimal except at the pool area. Just walk outside and within 5 minutes distance you can find plenty of restaurants, laundry, motorcycle rentals, convenience stores and even the bus stop for complimentary shuttle to VinPearl. Oh and the hotel offers complimentary pick-up/drop off at airport which is super!The cleanliness of the resort is awesome however the beach which is also publicly accessible through the club next door and beyond poses a big problem. Trash is strewn everywhere and it washes up from the sea. Hoses are channeled directly from the club/restaurant directly into the sea (possibly waste water?). This leaves alot to be desired and it is a shame as the sand is beautiful but sea is cloudy and has alot of plastic waste floating in it. The Dusit team has someone cleaning the beach (as much as possible I believe) but there is still alot of work to be done (not just by Dusit team). There are quite alot of mosquitoes but just inform the team and they will assist.Service is tip top and though communication can be challenging at times (there are a few staff that can converse in English pretty well), the team is always friendly, courteous and willing to help in many ways and beyond! Kudos to the team.The main facilities that we used is the infinity pool which has a gorgeous view with a pool bar to boot. The kids playroom is relatively small with some books and unfortunately quite a number of broken/non functioning toys. There is a water filter in the gym (awesome!), I hope they can have more water filters around the resort so that we can refill our water bottles instead of using so many plastic water bottles.Food at The Palm (breakfast) comes with different varieties daily for noodles and hot food, great selection and taste good too! We had dinner as well and it surpassed our expectations.Pictures attached is on a better day where there is less trash and a sweet dream wishes with yummy coconut biscuit (not in pic) that we receive every evening!Overall, Kudos to the Dusit team and I hope to be back. This was a celebration trip for us. We didn't mention since pre-arrival. We were being "WOW".We got hotel message after reservation about transportation and we reserved two seat for hotel shuttle. However, it was rain and we didn't realise to go other entrance. We missed the transportation and took Grab. It was just a little incident and i reported the staff when we approached front desk and didn't want the staff keep waiting. It wasn't task failure.As evening time, we got simple refresh and hotel tour. Then, we went out for dinner. The night view in the room was beautiful garden.I liked the facilities of GYM and pool that was my first filter to seek this hotel. The Palm Kitchen staffs were good to make us and good morning for our vacation. The food items were also variety. After the day trip to north area, we saw a cake for my wife's birthday. It was surprised. However, it was attracted ants coming. For this point, may use food cover to prevent. We didn't want to waste the amenities even we can't use. We took the photos and appreciated hotel's welcome and preparations. Then, called the call centre to clear the ants. The staff had prompt action. We received the message from hotel about "WOW" service🫰.Upon departure, they tried to let us wait for their room check. They were not make me feel focus on minibar charges as i overheard "Nothing leave in room". Many travellers left "lost and found" as rush.
