I lived with my family during six months at the Family Hotel in Yerevan. First, in 2016, from October to December, and them, between 2017 and 2018, from December until March. There are many good things me and my family could say about this hotel. First, is that all the personal, as well as the great majority of the Armenian people, are very sweet and extremely gentle persons. As a distinguished pattern, they always treated us with impressive dedication and patience. Whatever we needed they tried to make feasible. Information, advices and all kind of providences they took diligently to make us feel at home and satisfied. The hotel is silent, clean and relaxing. Located in the heart of the city center, from the Family Hotel you can just walk to reach many shopping streets and the most important points of the cultural and historic places of the town. Their apartments are big, have generous balconies and are decorated in a traditional and comfortable way, having all the facilities needed to a family daily life. Of course, it includes everything that can be expected when one hosts itself in an apartment hotel such as permanent clean bed and bath linen, general cleaning and disposal. During our last time experience, as we needed to extent our stay more then it was first expected, it collided with some improvements work the hotel had programmed to do, such as the installation of brand new heating system and some bathroom amenities. Surprisingly, they maneuvered these works with mastery, perfect efforts and quickness; as a result we felt not affected at all, even considering that our apartment was one of those that benefited from the reforms. To not go too far in this summary, the Family Hotel is an ideal place for families of expatriates, like mine, who need to stay provisionally in the city, while quietly looking for a definite place to settle. In the same way the hotel is perfect for those who are looking to stay in a place strategically located, having everything the traveler needs to feel very well...

Read moreThe hotel, actually an apartment/hotel which seems to be the new attraction in many places if you are staying a long time, was convenient with refrigerator, two large bedrooms and to showers as well as a kitchen. The cost was that of a four to five star hotel. In Yerevan there are now many places to choose from at reasonable prices. After we made reservations at a hotel of good quality, we were encouraged to change to this one. Overall it was good, but never be fooled by the conveniences. The showers had multi-heads and nozzles to give a massage type shower similar to the Kohler brand of bathroom fixtures. Problem was none of them were connected. So, yes it looks nice but only one shower head worked. The radio worked, but that was unimportant. We had to change to their annex for our last two days. This was another nicely renovated room but the shower directional switch didn't work and you had to hold in place, otherwise no water. It was also dangerous since there was no elevated and the climb in the stairs had no railing! The use of marble in a shower and bathroom was quite dangerous since there was no matt to prevent slipping. So yes, images are deceptive to say the least. The breakfast was fine, but this was countered by internet problems for three evenings and one morning! The wi-fii unit, well it worked when finally we had the correct information, but this was not the case when it was handed to us. So in the end the conveniences were countered by many issues, but Armenia is a young country of only 25 years of independence. As they steam away the old Soviet mentality, many will realize that the old ways of doing things don't work. People will pay for a comfortable place and expect...
