We spent 5 days in this hotel on family vacation, we were 4 and we reserved 2 rooms. We had a wonderful experience there even before we arrived we felt the warmth and welcoming attitude of the staff, rooms were very nice, spacious and very well maintained, their breakfast was generous and diversified. The hotel has a traditional / manual carpet workshop where they manufacture beautiful handmade carpets right in front of you. To add to that, the hotel’s location right next to the Republic square was ideal and close to many wonderful places that you can visit by walking. The only comment we had and that management may need to work on, is the WIFI signal, as in one of the rooms the signal was excellent however in the other room there was no signal at all. Other than that, thumbs up to the Tufenkian Heritage Hotel management and team for the amazing work, keep it up. The next visit to Yerevan we will definitely book in the same hotel again and will highly recommend it to...
Read moreI booked this hotel for a senior UN diplomat visiting Yerevan, based on my own previous positive stays. Sadly, the experience this time was disappointing. The guest arrived around midnight after a long flight. Due to the length of stay, there were two back-to-back reservations. A simple request to link them to avoid switching rooms or revalidating the key was refused without clear explanation. As the guest was heading to the elevator, they were abruptly called back and told they must pay immediately, despite a valid credit card already on file. When asked if it could wait until morning, the receptionist refused, in an inflexible and unwelcoming manner. Attempts to speak to management in the following days were unsuccessful. Staff insisted this was “policy,” but could not show it in writing. This was frustrating for the guest and frankly embarrassing for me. A disappointing decline in service. I can no longer recommend this hotel to international guests...
Read moreI have had the opportunity to stay several times at the Tufenkian, and they have all been good experiences until this most recent visit. While there, my wife ordered a massage, which was advertised on their website as 10,000 AMD. On ordering the massage at the front desk, she confirmed with the employee the price. Two days later on checking out, the desk agent said that we owed 14,000 and showed a brochure with this higher price. They said the 10,000 price was only available to people who apparently paid for an airport shuttle (or something strange like that) even though this was not stated on the website. In reality, I believe they forgot to update the prices on their website. Rather than honoring the stated price on the website, which I showed to the desk agent (attached), they insisted on charging 14,000 AMD. This is very poor business practice and I will no longer be frequenting the Tufenkian on my...
