Always amazing food!!! I've come here for lunch every chance I can get over the last couple of years and I would say it's the best Viet lunch/takeaway spot in the CBD! Meat always prepared to perfection, i find that crackling pork tends to be inconsistent or plain hit and miss at other spots but neverrr crunchy bites I recommend getting a combination of meats on whatever meal you get as it'd be a shame to miss out on what crunchy bites has to offer. I'm so grateful for the speed they are able to get you a quality lunch, even when its peak lunch traffic. Their spring onion oil is a "sleeper", totally bringing together their rice bowls, also, their carrot and daikon are always beautifully pickled Great value lunch, I can't thank the crunchy bites team enough.Ā Massive kudos to the lady that runs the joint, to see her maintain such a great standard on Viet food is so endearing in a city full of gentrified, overpriced and mid-quality food spots. This one is a gem and I will continue to go here for as long as I can.Ā I hope it can stand the test of time and set an example on what a real food joint from the HEART looks like <3 I've seen some complaints here about pricing and mistakes on orders Pricing: I would love for anyone to find a viet joint that tops Crunchy Bites in price and quality ESPECIALLY within the CBD Mistakes: I've been subject to a few mistakes on orders but when addressed with their team they have always made an effort to correct it and I feel that it's a given in such a busy lunch spot. No one is immune to mistakes.

This place was recommended to me by a work colleague, and it did not disappoint. A group of us went during peak lunch hour (12.30-1pm), it got busy but the service was quick. Probably 5-10 min wait. No seating in front of store, but could sit outside around the corner, near the garden (under shade). I bought the banh mi roast pork + char siu pork. Good value and tastes fresh! I’d go again just to try their nem nuong, lemongrass chicken and viet coffee. Would recommend and worth the wait šŸ‘šŸ¼

I tried to get a rice and meat bowl but they were out of normal rice so I had to get the $4 upgrade to fried rice (they offered no discount to make up for their lack of stock or sympathy). Then their fried rice was simply rice with lots of soy sauce, (probably frozen) peas, and sliced carrot (no bacon, onions or garlic). I found it disappointingly flavourless for having to spend $4 more.

The place is always busy because of its location but I don’t think the food is worth it (maybe if I’d ordered something different it would be...
