My trip to Adelaide was absolutely sensational. It was made extra special by my trip to this 8th wonder of the world located in the heart of Adelaide. With fabulous specials and 50 different varieties of beers you can't miss this place. As per an amazing recommendation from Jake I ordered a rump steak on a stone grill. A one of a kind experience and the only stone grill left in Adelaide. Very delicious and a unique experience and is a must do for everyone. The shaken espresso martini that was made for me was so good. So good I just had to get a second. The customer service from Jake was second to none. Putting up with all my questions and unique requests. He made the experience so much better for me. Can't finish this without giving a shout out to Ruby. Greeted with a smile and a bouncy personality I was highly impressed with her management skills. A powerful member of the team showing that a job can also be made fun while remaining professional. A+ Hats of to the team of staff I unfortunately didn't get to meet which I hope to meet in the future. If I could give you guys more than 5 stars I would. By far the best bar I have ever been to and I can guarantee I'll be back as a regular. Well worth the price of an airfare from Canberra.

We popped in here for a drink after attending a rally last Sunday just after 4pm. This was my first visit so had no idea of the layout of the place or the different areas on offer. All the tables had Reserved signs on them which I found interesting. When we entered a waiter greeted us and asked what we were after. We said coffee or a drink, though when I asked if there was coffee I didn't get a response, so we assumed only drinks were available. He told us that we only could use the tables for an hour as they needed to be ready for dinner guests. Later when checking their website I noticed we probably could have been directed to the Garden Bar or Verandah bar which would have been our preference anyway. The young lady serving at the bar wasn't particularly friendly. We would have liked to have some kind of snack with our drinks (like chips) but were told they had nothing and the kitchen was closed till 5.30pm. If I ever visit again, I will certainly check out the other areas as the main area was quite noisy and having a huge TV on didn't help.

Really quite nice!. Just two doors up from our hotel (Oaks) hubby had a stone grilled rump (thurs night special) which was a first time experience and he loved it, lovely cut and tasted beautifulwith his chips and salad. He also chose a mushroom sauce. I just had a bowl of chips as I had a late lunch. Couple of beverages and then a play at the pokies with a cuppa. We'd go again and you can also eat upstairs or alfresco. * Stone grill rump for anyone else not familiar is where the 250g rump comes out on a piece of 400⁰c hot slab of stone. You turn it to seal in flavour as you go and basically cook and turn to your desired blue, rare, medium rare, medium all the way to well done. Your in control.

Used to be my absolute favourite place to have a drink and play pokies, my guilty pleasure. After religiously attending and purposely seeking out this venue due to its terrific staff and atmosphere, I suddenly felt unwanted and looked down upon like a derelict. I was immediately targeted by a man who works there during an earlier shift than I would usually attend, (Kon/con) so he wasn't overly familiar with me although I recognised him as having served me on more than a few occasions. From the moment I walked in he was eyeing me and I immediately felt under observation and judged, although I wasn't sure why and don't usually feel like that at this place, which usually haS a warm and safe feeling, with staff that are switched on but fair and kind. I made multiple attempts to be kind and friendly to him when possible with only coldness and a bad attitude returned to me. I had plenty of cash on me to play, and was doing my usual machine test where I pop a few dollars into a few machines and see which one loves me the most when I was approached and asked if I was playing, which I indeed was and said just that. With a rude and condescending attitude he asked me to leave if I wasn't spending money (which I was) so I explained to him what I was doing, and I told him how I had felt judged and watched immediately as I walked through the door, I noticed him hovering and staring, blatantly staying close to me and how it was just rude and made me uncomfortable. I was honestly taken aback and quite hurt by the blatant implication that I was just bumming around the venue and didn't appreciate his sharp tone and repition of "if you're not playing you need to leave" which is an understandable rule, however it wasn't fitting as I was playing, had money to continue to play and was trying to communicate that with him but was being spoken over and given no chance. So incredibly rude and ignorant. I've spent many hours each week at this venue, I rave about it and the staff constantly and travel over half an hour on bus to visit my " not so local" local because I value the energy and atmosphere. I said I was happy to leave because at this stage I no longer wanted to be there and again told him I thought he was being very rude, which I stand by. A few hours later I returned knowing my favourite of the staff would be on shift and the rude staff member would no longer be there or be leaving shortly. I was turned away at the door and told I couldn't come in, to come back tomorrow and ask "what had I done earlier" as if I was some type of criminal or aggressor. I was not aggressive nor rude in any way, I honestly feel this is a disgusting way to treat a loyal and regular consumer of your business. Your staff member may have thought he was doing the right thing but he asked no questions, listened to nothing I said, was rude and condescending from the beginning and clearly stereotyped me from the moment I walked in, although I'm unsure why as all previous exchanges with other staff have been pleasant and often above average customer service and banter. Completely disappointed and honestly very offended, Kon/Con is not someone I'd have as a face of my business and because of him I'll be taking my business and elsewhere. I never thought I'd write a review like a Karen but truly this was a distasteful and unnecessary experience and I didn't want to escalate in the moment out of respect. A respect that's clearly not reiterated by said staff member. To be clear the rest of staff have always been superb and I couldn't rate their professionalism and service any higher, making an enjoyable experience whilst often making some tough calls, job well done all round, maybe they can train Con/Kon on how to go about these situations in a more professional and...

We eat here on a regular basis and normally its outstanding. Unfortunately, last night we had a very disappointing experience. When we reserved our table, we were told we had about an hr and a half to order & eat. Not an issue. We made sure we ordered our meals not long after we arrived, or at least we tried to. The line up to order food was almost out the door and there was only one person on the register taking orders. It took about 30 mins for us to get our meals. We ate as quickly as we could (the food was amazing as always), and then with roughly 15/20 mins before our booking was to be up, we asked for the cake to be brought out. From what I understand, they misplaced the cake for a little bit. Was eventually located and brought to the table. We sang happy birthday then waited for the server to come back to get the cake so they could cut it up and serve it. Whilst waiting for them to come get the cake (about 10 mins) we were asked, by who I assume was the head server for the night, came to us and let us know that the next booking was there and was asked to move on. I mentioned that we were waiting for the server to come back to get the cake and cut it up. The server did that and by the time we had eaten our cake, it was roughly 15 mins past the time we were meant to leave. We did everything in our power to make sure we did what we could to ensure we were out of there before the next booking arrived, but due to it being so very busy, that was out of our control. We felt that we were being pushed out so they could seat the next booking. We understand that things were probably a little more hectic than they had anticipated, but I think they need to reevaluate how they treat their customers when they are asking...

Unfortunately we cannot say our dining experience was great. We were there yesterday for dinner. It was quite busy, however we noticed that almost all the tables around us were not eating. Everyone seemed to be waiting for their food. We paid $56 for a steak! A bit more pricey than what we usually pay for the same steak however it was served with only 3 small boiled potatoes. There was no salad, no veg, nothing. For $56 we expected at least a salad. The steaks apparently had "chimicurri" sauce. It wasn't and tasted like cold pesto. There was no splash of red colour (chilli) or any flavour at all.

We waited over an hour for our food. Weren't even offered a bread roll. Apparently you have to pay for them as well. 🙄

The tartare was inedible. The crostini or cracker it was served on (why?) was so stale, we couldn't eat it. The tartare itself was drowned in some sauce (again why?) it is supposed to be served as is, no sauce. Sometimes egg on top, salt, pepper and herbs.

To top all that off one of the service staff came over with my DIL's meal and actually pressed himself against her, she moved slightly and he came closer again. I DID NOT see this, however I can assure you had I seen this, he would have been in some serious trouble. What kind of behaviour is that? Our bill for 6 people was $457 Never again, will we go there. The prices were absolutely ridiculous, the wait time, the inappropriate behaviour from the server. I do not recommend this place at all. The reason there are 2 stars is because the lass who served our drinks etc...
