I have never experienced a hotel with so much incompetence. We purchased parking and was provided with a carpark number, we found the park and there was already a car there. We called reception and they sent us to 3 other carparks all which had cars in them. During our time in the reception area there were multiple guests coming to see reception with a range of issues. From my time in reception it appears they have a massive management issue. They don't greet guests or seem happy at all, I seen this in another review so I would assume its a regular occurrence. The service counter have no idea how to run or manage guests simple expectations, after messing us around for over 1hr 30mins trying to park and discuss our issues we were eventually forced to stay elsewhere at their request. Oaks issued us with a letter on their letterhead seen attached advising they would cover a full refund for the room. Oaks have since reneged on the refund advising us to chase it up with external booking partners. We have done as they requested and gone to the external avenues however they have both advised to go back to Oaks for the refund as they have offered it. After contacting the hotel numerous times via email we have since received a phone call from their hotel manager who spoke in a condescending manner and constantly talked over me. This only further shows the issues they have at this location and their lack of focus on guests expectations or experience. My advice to anyone considering staying at the Oaks Casino Towers would be to look at the other reviews and to consider staying elsewhere to avoid the incompetence and disappointing experience we did.

The only good thing about this place is the location. It is right at Treasury Casino and Queen Street mall, as well as the Botanic Gardens. So if you want to be closer to any of those things, it's the perfect choice. First, we had a lot of problems working out where parking was. We booked through booking.com and ended up ringing them to ask where we can park. They then sent instructions to the booking.com app (which was helpful). But, it isn't free so just be aware that there is a fee. We were given a room key and checked in and then almost immediately was told we needed to be given a different room. We paid for a one bedroom apartment and then was given a 2 bedroom apartment with a door closed off. The room is so worn and tired. The kitchen looks like its not functional and the washing machine seems quite old. Everything is old. There's barely any foxtel channels and even the foxtel box is old (😂). It was also a cold night and the heating only put out cold air, so we were freezing. But the worst is the state of the cleanliness. The curtains are mouldy and stained. My partner suffers from severe allergies to mould and dust and they suffered all night, so there is certainly also a dust problem. The bed is also the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in and I've stayed at quite a few hotels and motels in my life. Only stay here if you're planning a night out and just want somewhere to crash. It's definitely not a place I'll be coming back to.

Booked for a three bedroom two bathroom apartment. The first room we were in smelled like cigarette smokes, there were plastics on the floor. The staff who helped us bringing our luggage up was nice and went back to find out what they can do to help. Came back with an aerosol spray and asked if any of us is asthmatic!?. That was disappointing, we had elderlies and baby with us, a smoking room is out of the question. Then the manager came up to show us another room which didn't have cigarette smokes and is located on a higher floor 38th that has the same view as the one we had previously on the 34th floor. By the time we finished checking in and move around, it's an hour later already. Each room is only allowed 3 devices for WiFi connection, we had to ask for more access. The response can vary depends on who you get at the reception. The first night the fire alarm went off we had to walk down 38 floors carrying a 15kg 2yo and assist 70yo elderlies, which was triggered by short circuit, in another word lack of maintenance. It would've been a 0 star if it is on the scale even for for its fabulous location close to Queen Street mall and the casino. Highly recommend to avoid this place.

i dont really write reviews but this hotel compelled me to. checked-in and first it was smooth, expecting to get to the room as quick as possible to enjoy the nice ac while walking around the city under the hot sun. turns out one of the elevators arent working, had to wait 5-10 minutes for the elevator to finally come fetch us. not mentioning about 15 people using it the same time as you all cramped up like sardines in a tin.

finally got to the room, and couldn't figure out how to adjust the temperature for the ac. figured it shouldnt be much of a problem so went on to watch something off netflix to cool off. tv wouldnt connect to the internet and when we called reception they told us "the wifi isn't too strong" to stream netfix or even youtube so had to connect a laptop and use our own data to watch on the tv. foxtel was useless and also had a dvd player if you fancy bringing your own cds and watching blu-ray movies.

there were marks on the bathroom wall, went there first time to check it out and had a foul smell. the shower wasn't even strong enough to have a proper wash. found marks on the floor and trash left behind. also read the other reviews about this hotel not having a housekeeping management? maybe that's why. found black marks on the white curtains that looked like soot also. cleanliness in this hotel is a hit or miss as i've read.

asked for a late check-out at 12pm thats usually at 10am. was pleased because its free of charge. however next morning got a call from reception at 11:10 saying they could only do until 11:30. completely messed up our schedule as we had to rush and clean, keeping in mind how long we're going to wait for the elevator which shouldn't even be a worry for any consumer staying at a hotel. the higher you are the longer you wait for it to come.

if you want to stay somewhere convenient/at the heart of the city this is a good location. but its luck with the room you're gonna get and the cleanliness and services that come with it. pool was also good had a nice view, panels weren't cleaned so couldn't really see well. absolutely a complete let down for 341 that i paid for 1 night, needless to say overpriced for its poor services, atmosphere and cleanliness. book...

The second Most terrible accommodation experience in my entire life.

I've been to a lot of countries and hotels ranging from 3 stars to 5 stars and this is my first time into australia, Brisbane

And as a supposedly city of tourism, I've expected much more

Pros: in city Centre, easy to get to and go from to most of places.

Cons:

Customer service: I was give one physical key and token chip to access the facilities in the hotel (elevator, main door etc. .) I was supposed to get 2 keys the other one for my wife, after receiving a notification at the reception that if I loose the second key in will pay 300$ I was told that unfortunately it is not there and they will order one soon, on the third day they told me the manager is on vacation is she is only authorized to order a key, bla bla bla after 4 days bla bla it's now the 11th day and still no key.

Main hall smells like fried fish all the time

The corridor smells

General cleanness: stains at the floor, table, curtains , sticky kitchen items (fridge , stove, microwave, water heater, pans etc.. ) smelly washing machine and the dryer is full of someone else's hair.

Room service / house keeping: don't know what their schedule, and reception is not much of a help, if they spot the don't disturb sign they won't bother showing up again even the next 30 minutes or when they are done from that floor, been 11 days so far and they came only once and did a crappy quick job, caught them twice on the corridor and asked them if their majesty would honor us with their lovely look anytime soon and they reply was simply : not today.

We asked the reception for help mutiple times for room service and a how to operate the stove or washing machine or dryer ( so we won't screw something up) and all what we got is promises.

Noise: though on the 19th floor its difficult hear anything from down the streets, but if your upper neighbor decided to keep the bathroom lights on, it will keep the vacuum fan on along wih it, and if they went to party one day and came back late, forget...

I stayed in the Oaks Casino Towers with 3 friends in a two bedroom apartment. Rooms were ok - very basic but you get what you pay for I suppose. On our 2nd day we decided to use the pool and Spa Pool. Firstly the smell in the spa pool was quite offensive, it was so strong of chlorine that even without getting our faces wet we were blinking as it was irritating our eyes.

When we left the spa pool after 15 minutes and went back to our room, we noticed that not only had my friend's swimwear changed from blue to purple, but my Tiffany's bracelet had turned a horrible shade of metallic grey! I went back to the pool to check and sure enough there was no notice about not wearing your jewellery (I have worn this for 3 years in many pools and never had it damaged)... and not that a spa pool should change the colour of your swimwear!! We went down to the front desk and showed them what had happened and they were extremely good and apologetic and gave me the details of the manager to email to seek some sort of compensation.

When I did contact the manager, he said that their levels of chlorine etc were within the standards and so it couldn't be from the pool but out of "good faith" he would offer me a 30% discount when I return. I explained that I am from Ireland and this was my first time in Brisbane in 11 years and would not expect to return, but that all I wanted was my bracelet replaced or at least them to pay for a jeweller to try to clean. His response was to claim off my travel insurance, but that he would not say that it was due to their spa pool.

Absolutely horrified by the response - it was clear to the staff on the day what had happened and the management were not able to follow up in an acceptable manner.

I would not advise anyone to stay here... and if you must... either don't go into the spa pool or make sure you are wearing a swimsuit you are prepared to throw out after and no...
