Food was good but not impressive. Portion sizing however was big! Between 3 pax we had the spicy pork belly and kimchi stew and half a serving of fried chicken and we were so full after!
The fried chicken portion comes in half and full, and the half can comfortably feed 4 pax as a sharing dish for sure. Sweet chilli flavor of the fried chicken was more sweet than spicy.
Kimchi stew was very flavorful but I struggled with the amount of belly on the pork belly (it was more than half belly compared to the amount of meat on it).
They provided a small serving of kimchi and mayo konjac. Was not sure if that was refillable and they also charge for extra side dishes. Retrospectively I think I was full from having rice and soup.
The environment is rowdy as it’s a drinking place with loud music. If you wanted to catch up with friends and chat it might be too noisy to do so here. Reception is poor as it’s located in the basement but wifi was provided. Overall an okay experience but I wouldn’t...
Read moresuch an unpleasant and weird experience.
firstly, the food took a really long time to come out and mind you, we went well before dinner traffic. secondly, another table ordered alcohol, NOT US, but the waiter came and demanded we show him our ID without any explanation!!!! We were so confused so we showed it to him. my friend only had the digital form and got a scolding from the waiter saying that he needed a physical ID next time and that this was unacceptable. then he angrily storms off, grabs alcohol from the fridge and serves it to us. we let him know that we didn’t order any, and that was when he realised that it was another table’s order and not ours. However, no apologies given. BIZARRE.
would have gone back for the spicy bbq chicken but don’t really want to deal with the attitude again so nah. also, do not get the soy garlic fried chicken! it’s not as good as many of the other soy garlic chicken i’ve had from other korean...
Read moreI just had a Kimchi fried rice. It was the worst I have ever tasted. It is full of onions and very hard to find Kimchi. 90% was onion and 10% was Kimchi. They do it because onion is much cheaper than Kimchi. I had this meal because I missed Kimchi but I had lots onions instead. They should name it 'Onion fried rice' as it literally was an Onion fried rice. Also they put too much oil and msg. The rice was full was oil. In conclusion, their Kimchi fried rice is full of onions and oil. The Kimchi (Chinese factory made lowest quality and cheapest Kimchi in the market) as a side dish was only a spoon full amount. They just try to save up their money as much as they can in a very bad way and they don't care about their customers. I had a ddok bbok gi last time and it was terrible too. The rice cakes were all frozen as they used frozen rice cakes. Even 1 star is too good for...
