I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received at your cinema around 6 pm on Friday. The incident involved the staff member operating the coffee machine, and I believe it highlights a need for retraining or some corrective action.
When I attempted to purchase a coffee from the candy bar, I was directed to the ticket desk to make the payment. Upon informing the male attendant at the ticket desk that I had a coffee to pay for, he acknowledged it and processed my transaction. I didn't pay close attention to the total, assuming it included the coffee along with the two movie tickets I purchased, especially given the high prices that are common at your establishment. However, when I returned to collect my coffee, the lady at the coffee machine immediately accused me of not paying. I informed her that I believed I had already paid, but she seemed unwilling to give me the coffee. The situation escalated about 30 minutes later when, at the start of the movie, the same barista entered the cinema and confronted me at my seat. She loudly insisted that I hadn’t paid for the coffee and demanded that I accompany her immediately to make the payment. Her attitude was unnecessarily harsh and disruptive, considering the movie had just begun, and this behavior was inconsiderate to other patrons. Wanting to avoid further disturbance, I complied and paid for the coffee, though I was convinced that I had already done so. Her lecturing continued throughout, which left me with a sour taste, and by the time I returned to my seat, my coffee was cold.
This entire experience over a $5.90 coffee, which I suspect I may have paid for twice, ruined my movie-going experience. As someone who manages a café, I found this behavior disappointing and unprofessional. In my own establishment, I would have simply given the coffee to the customer to avoid such a negative encounter.
I hope you will address this issue to prevent similar situations...
Read moreStaff service is professional, efficient, courteous and friendly. There is specific line space for those customers who purchase their tickets online - and they are served first as promised for online purchases.
The Snack-Bar has a wide range of beverages and food sources to choose from. These include the traditional popcorn, ice creams, sweets and chips. Pricing (of course) is as to be expected from Cinema chains.
The V-Max Cinema (#7) is very spacious and modern. The leather seats are wider than usual, and the leg room provided is above average - suited for those taller gentlemen and ladies with the LONG legs. :) The cup holder is larger than usual, and is visible in the darkened cinema atmosphere (which helps remove the fumbling that happens when you can't see it clearly in the dark!). The seating numbers are clearly visible on the armrests so that you don't struggle to see the number in the dark if you enter after the film starts. The sound and screen provided are awesome as they are in all the cinemas in this facility. The only downside to the V-Max is the complete lack of "give" in the chair. The chair is comfortable, but you don't have the back push seen throughout the remainder of the cinemas.
The other cinemas (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8) have normal sized chairs which provide "give" in the back. The chairs are fabric with normal sized cup holders and numbers. The leg space is the normal amount provided in every cinema outside of V-Max and Gold Class. The standards attached to the quality of sound and picture are excellent.
There are extensive toilet facilities onsite which are clean and functioning well (which is a relief for women!).
Overall, the experience is excellent and well-worth the effort! Additionally, the benefit of using your Cinebuzz Card/s at this location means that you will receive cheaper tickets, free tickets, and bonus discounts!! :)
How could anything...
Read moreWent here to watch Deadpool after work since it was convenient, and while the movie was good, the experience and the customer service was awful. I would rate 0/5 if I could.
The server who sold us our tickets was rude and unhelpful. When asked about our seating, my boyfriend had to crane his neck to see the screen because the girl refused to explain to us where the seat was in the cinema. She also stuck us in the wrong schedule that we requested so we had to line up again to get new tickets.
The cinema we were in was dirty, despite being VMax (you'd expect it to be cleaner too due to the price, right?). I have seen other movies in this cinemas and it never is clean enough for my liking. It's better than Southbank but not always. There are always crumbs and popcorn and rubbish in and around my seat.
A trio of boys also snuck into the cinema at some point in the movie and shared 2 seats between 3, with one of them sitting on the armrest. I expected someone to kick them out since I don't think they paid and one of them was sitting inappropriately, but nope. Not only that but they were noisy too, absolutely ruining my movie experience.
Absolutely awful and unprofessional. Consider training your staff and cleaning your premises more often, and checking inside cinemas, please! Or just close down the business, because it really is...
