We came to Brisbane for vacation and found at Vault Games a wonderful place to cater our interests in board games and role-playing games. The host Barty was not only kind enough to share with us his take on the most interesting games at the moment, he also provided us with an opportunity for a role-playing experience on Wednesday evening. We loved his performance as dungeon master almost as much as the adventure itself. Thank you for making us feel part of your world and city! My ideas for 5 star review: Even though Barty explained to us, why your variety of role-playing systems is limited, I would have loved to see more options on display- if only for information and the possibility to order it. Like Vampires, Fate Core and some if its fun variants like the secrets of cats , maybe Legend of the Five Rings (L5R)  or fading suns. There are so many role-playing options... (And you are missing out on the fate dice...) As for the boardgames section, you could categorize the board games according to criteria of the type of game "cooperative, competitive, dueling" or "families, children, parties". That makes it easier for browsing for a game of a certain category. Alternatively you could reserve one shelf for " this months staffs recommendations" and categorize those as " cooperative, competitive, dueling". For people not sure what game they like it might be easier to decide , what type of game they are more interested it. And if your staff is as knowledgeable as we got to know Barty, that should be an excellent help!

You have to purchase a drink to sit down to play. But drinks were fairly cheap (a typical bundaberg) and there were tons of board games to choose from. Admittedly, I hadnt played much board games since preschool, so I was completely clueless (lost every round). However, just sitting down and laughing with few friends brought back long forgotten childhood memories. Perhaps I'm giving the store too much credit but I thoroughly enjoyed being there.

Cassie has been a pleasure to deal with!! Gave us timely updates on a well anticipated board game (Stardew Valley) and I could not be more pleased!! My order was packaged, shipped and arrived at my door all within 2 days (Qld - Tas). Such a turn around having waited on back order for ages while new games were being printed. Buy from Vault Games you will be looked after!!

Horrible store, went to attend a FAB Tournament and all the staff we're the least helpful people ever. Super rude as.

Playing area was not thought out at all, super cramped, felt worse than an airplane toilet, could have easily moved one row of tables out and gave the players more than enough room to navigate around. Tournament organizer was obnoxious all day, power tripping, threatening players to be disqualified / take infractions due to not sitting down in the play area. Felt like the TO was more focused on getting all the players stowed away in the corner of the store away from the main store so that customer's wouldn't be turned away, however the nonsense that the TO sprouted over the PA system would have been worse.

Prize support was horrible for the event, paying a premium $30 entry fee to only receive 1 booster pack per swiss win? Considering the store received the prize kit from LSS for free, the store essentially used this event to make an insane killing off the players.

Considering its $30 per entry, and a 32 player event, the store has more than enough room to provide a better prize support to the players.

I've been to plenty of premium tournaments for card games over the years, and have easily been rewarded upwards of 20-30 booster packs for making top 8 (in addition to the swiss prizes).

Making it to the top 8 of the event didn't reward you with any additional prizes, and the staff would not allow the exchange of booster packs either. No mention of only specific Everfest booster packs in the event page, but would not even think of the idea to hand out a different set instead (considering there is no price difference between the booster packs).

EDIT: Having a read over the reply I received to this review, you can easily see where this store's true intention lies. "I’d invite you to update your review to fix the inaccuracies in your post."

Never said I was caught out by the prize support, was saying the support was horrible, two different things.

Maybe take on the constructive critisim instead of going shields up and make your next profession tournament a much more inviting play to...

After being a semi regular and happy customer for over 2 years I’m sorry to have to share my disappointment with the service I received at your store today. After driving over an hour and paying over $30 for parking, I received the first item I had purchased online. I then decided to make another purchase for some card singles for a small amount of money, thinking it would be relatively stress-free just as the last purchase was. However, it was to my dismay that the website automatically selected shipping instead of pickup.

When I addressed this issue to the lady at the front desk who had green hair, she said that all I could do is email the supplied email in hopes of rectifying the issue. I showed her that the money had already come out of my account, but she kept insisting that there was nothing she could do. I asked to speak with a manager, and she said that he couldn’t do anything either. I said to her that I didn’t care and wanted to speak with him anyway, at which point her story changed too that he wasn’t in the store and that she was the only one working.

Now, I am forced to drive over an hour and pay for the expensive parking yet again if I want to receive my order which will end up costing me more money in parking and fuel, which will not be happening. Because of this experience, I am disappointed to say that you have lost me as a customer forever. The service I received was lackluster and unprofessional, and I do not wish to spend my time and money on a store that does not value its customers.

I urge you to take this feedback seriously and consider making changes to ensure that this kind of experience does not happen again to any...
