Dissapointing and unauthentic.
As a malaysian, the food is not authentic at all. We first came and ordered Roti Tisu and Crab.
Later the waitress told us that Roti tisu is out, only Roti Canai left. So we enquired about Roti Telur but she said it was sold out too? Roti tisu is literally Roti canai, but diff method, and Roti telur is just adding an egg? Apparently its sold out though so 🤔
Later the waitress came back and said the crabs were all sold out too. Same a pork ribs with plum sauce but they have salt and pepper pork ribs. So the sauce is gone?
We also ordered mantou for the crabs but wanted to cancel as the waitress later came back and said it was sold out but they said it was already made. Waitress went to check with manager but couldn't cancel because it was already made? It doesnt even cost much, just refund? Why care about 3pc instead of customer satisfaction for what? $5?
Nasi Lemak Ayam goreng - rice was not coconut rice, chicken is just fried chicken drummets. Chicken satay - deep fried satay instead of grilled with sauce l Salt n Pepper pork ribs - all soggy when it came out not crispy at all Curry fish - 5pc of fish and a bunch of vege Roti Canai - that they couldn't add an egg for Roti telur to make you extra $3 but could charge for Mantou
Drinks also came last and had no taste, tastes like packet drinks. Staffs were also inflexible and did not have any service.
They also dont answer the phone, they were slowly wiping the tables instead when they closed already so dont even bother trying after 8.30pm
They also fill tap water jugs the night before and dont cover it so if you are first in for lunch, better hope nothing touched it or went in! Cleanliness and health and safety on point.
Not worth at all. Staffs had no service. Go somewhere else until the boss does anything...
Read moreOverall I would give a 6.5/10 to this place. I ordered the Malay char kway teow (4.8/10 for this dish) it was too salty, couldn’t finish the plate (still a bit hungry) bc the flavour was too much to take in. Tasted more like Beef Stir Fried Rice Noodle tbh (a chinese dish, similar but different).
Also ordered Teh Tarik (hot) (malay style milktea) it was good! But not exceptionary. (7/10) Nice combo to even out the saltiness of my meal tho!!
Lastly had Centol for dessert. It is supposed to be a sweet and salty flavoured dessert, but the first time it was served it tasted like I was drinking salt water. The sweetness wasn’t there. I was confused maybe it’s supposed to taste like this…? I looked it up online to be sure about the flavour (was afraid that I’m ignorant lol) then decided to call for the waitress for some help. I reflected that it doesn’t have sweetness at all and I afraid they mixed up sugar and salt or haven’t added enough sweetness to the drink. The waitress then sent it back to the kitchen and gave us a new one. (Thank you!) then it tasted fine. Liked the sweet and salty combo. However the pandan jelly was mid, tasted bland and un jellylike.
The place has nice atmosphere I’d say, though the sofa seats look dirty. A nice afternoon hangout space with friends for a chit chat. Hopefully I’d get another chance to visit this place again. Looking forward to try other dishes and perhaps my perceptions will change. Oh! Also, the service is overall 7.5/10 I’d say. The attitude was nice and keen (which should be the standard). I have allergies and they did explain well...
Read moreThe food was genuinely delicious — no complaints there. Unfortunately, the service was a completely different story.
When we arrived, I naturally followed a staff member, assuming we were being shown to our table. Instead, I was abruptly waved off with a dismissive hand flick and a sharp tone, as though I had done something wrong simply by existing in the space. It was unnecessarily rude and entirely unprofessional.
Later, when my friend politely inquired about a delayed order, she was met with the exact same impatient gesture and a snappy, eye-roll-worthy response: “It’s being made.” No eye contact. No manners. Just attitude.
Look — I get it. Hospitality is stressful. Maybe they were short-staffed. Maybe someone was having a rough day. But stress and anxiety are not licenses to treat paying guests like an inconvenience. Basic courtesy costs nothing, yet means everything.
If the front-of-house team could match even half the effort that’s clearly being put into the food, this restaurant could be exceptional. But until the attitude improves, I won’t be returning — and I suggest others manage their expectations...
