Hellcat Maggie Laneway Bar and Kitchen — Restaurant in Brisbane City

We gave Hellcat a try on Tuesday night & was Absolutely Gobsmacked at the Quality of the Food. So we made a complaint to the owner Tony who offered a Refund. Which he stated he put into our account & it still isn't there today being Friday! So we thought we'd give them the benefit of the doubt and try something else on the Menu tonight.. The Fries were burnt to a Crisp.& Rock hard!! The Chicken Parma was burnt all the way around and only one part of the centre was able to be eaten. They put a plastic Gravy tub in the take away box ontop of the Schnitzel which melted into the cheese and Schnitzel. The fish Tacos were just slapped into a takeawy container.. The owner was releaved on Tuesday when I didn't leave a bad review.. But after Tonight we have been left with no other choice because it becomes a Food Safety issue with Melted plastic into a meal for a start. Let alone the rest of the very poorly cooked food. The young girl with Glasses was so so rude & if it was my family business she'd be going home tonight & not returning!! Telling me not to leave the restaurant because the meals would be ready in under 10mins yet I had to wait over 20mins for them.. On the other hand Rory who was lovely from the moment I got there & when he bought the meals out to me. I literally went directly into the carpark up the lift and couldn't believe my eyes when we opened the packages back in our Apartment.. So Very disappointed in the whole experience unfortunately.. Can only hope Tony can get his Staff to learn Customer Service skills & find a new Chef Obviously!!! Maybe the young girl with glasses could've also helped the staff at the bar when there was a line up waiting...

Went here for a work lunch with a large group. We all ordered & paid separately at the counter. After most people in the group had already received (and finished) their meals, it became evident that a few people's meals had been forgotten. I understand these things happen, but the response from the staff was really poor. The staff told us our dockets were lost and were totally unapologetic. We finally got our food 45 mins after we ordered (with not even a 'sorry' when the food was placed down). Half the people in our group had already left and gone back to work. I wouldn't have minded if the staff actually cared or did anything about it, but when I complained was basically just told "we're cooking it now". Disappointing service. I was in Brisbane for work and was looking for a relaxed venue to take some people out for dinner. Was keen to check this place out after I came across it and saw the great reviews. It’s fairly small but a nice atmosphere. Staff were friendly and overall good experience but a bit surprised by the high rating as my experience wasn’t top tier. I probably should have got a burger but opted for a parmi and was a bit surprised by how small it was. Rare to leave a venue after ordering a parmi and still being hungry. I asked everyone else how their food was and the response was ok. So from about 10 meals ordered, no one was really raving about the food which was a shame. It wasn’t bad at all, we just had higher expectations. Probably wouldn’t go back anytime soon...
