Stayed here for 2 nights and had the best B&B experience we have ever had. The accommodation is very clean, quite and homely. Hosts Linda & Andre are fantastic people and make you feel very welcome. I decided to drive the 1 hour from Devonport after travelling on the Spirit Of Tasmania and Linda was very accommodating with my delayed 9.30pm arrival. I can recommend the Rose Cottage which is a seperate self contained building and is a home away from home with cooking & washing facilities. The cooked breakfast that was provided is superb and Andre really knows how to prepare eggs. The location is right in the middle of blue chip East Launceston and has plenty of parks & lovely homes to look at while you take a stroll around the streets. The centre of Launceston is a 3 minute drive or a 15 minute walk if you are feeling fit. There are plenty of restaurants in Launceston and we had dinner at Francois' Italian which was good. Linda provided a detailed map which featured plenty of tourist attractions for a relaxing drive North along the river. We visited a working beehive/honey farm, berry farm, Beaconsfield mine, a lighthouse & Launceston Gorge. We would definitely stay here again and agreed that we could easily stay for multiple nights and use the location as a base to explore the region even further...
Read moreKurrajong House is a charming B & B surrounded by gorgeous gardens, full of beautiful furniture and genuine antiques with the hosts, Linda and Andre, being the loveliest couple who obviously love what they do. The property is beautifully presented, spotlessly clean, and Linda's friendly disposition and wicked sense of humour makes you feel instantly welcome.||We stayed 2 nights during our stay in Launceston, with a cooked breakfast both mornings that set us up perfectly for our sightseeing. Included in your stay, you can have a full cooked breakfast, cereals, toasts, fresh fruit and home-made yoghurt, tea, coffee and juice. We were seated with other guests one morning and it was nice to share travelling stories with other people.||Our room was plush and comfortable, with an ensuite and tea and coffee making facilities, wine glasses and a small mini bar selection. We purchased a bottle of Jansz Sparkling Wine and drank it on the sun-drenched terrace outside while planning our day's activities.||Situated a short - but steep downhill - walk from Launceston, it is an interesting, convenient option for those not wanting to stay in just another...
Read moreLinda and Andre are the quintessential hosts. Both are very friendly and a font of information, from where to get your clothes washed to which are the best roads to take. Andres breakfast is to die for, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes and those special eggs he makes are superb along with the homemade yoghurt, fresh fruit, jams, fruit juice, toast, tea or coffee. We stayed in the Campbell Garden room which was beautiful, lovely comfortable bed with the best pillows, spacious bathroom with a great heater light, also tea and coffee making station and a bar fridge. I would not stay anywhere else in Launceston and would definitely encourage anyone wanting to visit Launceston to stay here also. It's so nice that a host will come outside while you are there and sit with her coffee and have a chat.... Thank you so much Linda and Andre for a wonderful stay. Definitely a 5 star experience.
