I am sure that you are one of those people who felt the cost of living pressures in 2023.

We had a small budget for Xmas and New Year trip to Lancaster.

So we booked 6 months in advance in a cheap as Motel on top of a restaurant, we thought that we will save money and get a bargain. Dreaming !

We managed to stayed there for the two nights and on the third night we ended up leaving due to noise and smell of sewage.

Cut a long story short, we booked overnight to the Verge Hotel !

I think there is a reason this place got 4.7 out of 5. We checked in, Thursday 28 of December to Hotel. Very nice lobby, easy check in process and rocked up to our five stars room. Nice beding, clean and cool room. We then went downstairs to the restaurant to treat ourselves for nice cocktail and 3 course meal.

We meet Stuart, the nice chap who was in his fourth year doing Medicine and being our waiter. Very cool and genuine guy.

The chef did an absolute perfect job on three course meal, and it was well above our expectations.

The place is great value for money and top experience. So, next time you try to book for holiday, don’t bother go anywhere else. Just come down straight to the Verge and enjoy your hard earned cash in a pleasant environment. It worth, every dollar.

One last thing, really keen to know who is the Interior designer for this place. Attention to detail is second to none ! 🤩

Thank...

Good Vibes, Fresh and Comfortable. The Verge is exactly what we look for in accomodation. It's extremely comfortable, simple, without fuss and provides you with a quiet haven after full days of exploring Launceston and surrounds. We stayed for 6 nights. We used the gym, we explored, and ate out in the many restaurants close by.. we found the Verge staff delightful and accommodating to any requests (albeit new and still learning). We believe there were some staffing issues with the in house restaurant (with regards to operating hours) but that didn't detract from our stay (as there are plenty of eating options nearby) but I'm sure they will sort that out quickly. Rooms were tasteful, contemporary, considered and exactly as pictured. Its well located with the farmers markets next door (on Saturday mornings) and City Park across the road... and a short walk to everything else. As happens when I travel I sometimes temporarily 'misplace' items.. this time it was my gold and black diamond wedding band.. As a last hope I called Verge 48 hours after checking out hoping that they had turned up.. It had and it was safely held until I could return to collect it.. Thanks Verge you saved me!! and well done on creating something unique and fresh to Launceston...

It is a very comfortable hotel. It has a very modern and simple design in the hotel.

The staff from reception are very friendly and efficient with our check in and check out. Thanks so much as we arrived around 8pm, and we couldn't wait to go to our room to rest after a long day.

My favourite part is that they have a king bed in the room. It is sooooo comfortable! We had a great night sleep.

The hotel is sustainable that they don't provide single-use shampoos and body wash, which I really like the eco-friendly idea. They provide the brand called Kevin Murphy shampoo and body wash. First time trying this brand and it smells very good and fresh. Love it, however, not sure if it was a mistake which they put 2 bottles of shampoos and 1 bottle of conditioner in the shower, while there were two bottles of hand and body wash near the sink, so we needed to walk to the sink to pump some body wash and walked back to the showers. The showerhead is installed in the ceiling, which you cannot adjust the showerhead's direction, so I must wear my shower hat to keep my hair dry. I usually don't wash my hair at night, so thank God I remember to bring my shower hat to the trip this time.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay in...

Great looking hotel. Restaurant is a bit pricey. Plenty other options in the area. Parking is limited, though there is a public parking lot next door, paid obviously. Great staff
