Great Scout Café is truly a hidden gem that offers the perfect start to your day. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed by a warm, inviting atmosphere that instantly set the tone for a relaxing breakfast experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, striking just the right balance between professional and personable. It’s always refreshing to be greeted with genuine smiles and thoughtful service. The café environment is simply perfect – a lovely blend of cozy and stylish, making it ideal whether you're catching up with friends or enjoying a quiet solo morning. Whether it's the soft background music, the natural lighting, or the charming interior design, everything comes together to create a peaceful and inspiring space. Though I could go on, one thing is clear: Great Scout Café is the best place to visit in Launceston for breakfast. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy great food, wonderful service, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay just a little longer. Great team👍👍

this is the kind of cafe you go to with a friend to have a nice convo on a square table with two seats. the flat white is just right in terms of strength, so get that when you come here. the cafe looks nice. plenty of natural light from the front, green decor on the walls, hanging lights above. however, the banana bread made me question my reality. i’m pretty sure banana bread has flavour to it, but i wasn’t getting that? maybe try the other stuff on the menu when you come here with a friend. the art of the ‘good morning coffee’ on the wall near the right corner of the room feels off, but i’m not sure exactly why. somehow it doesn’t fit with the rest of the cafe’s aesthetic. summary: come here with friends, get the flat whites but not the banana bread, try the their other menu options if you want breakfast or lunch

Oh my. Great Scot is just that… GREAT! Originally the name was giving me Marty McFly & Doc feels but from the moment you walk in the place has a cool vibe of its own. The Staff were exceptional - I have no idea how they remembered our order without writing it down - the coffee was absolutely delish and OMG check out the photos for our breakfast dishes. Kids big breakfast was on point! And happily rated 5/5 from our son. You simply must get in and have one of the best brekkies of your life! Hubby slyly jokes the Scot’s Big breakfast wasn’t big enough and then when they bought out his little sausages he gave two to our son because he was full, hahaha. Honestly amazing all round, my BLAT with hash browns and relish was also delicious, I’m so glad we stopped in. Thanks Team for the awesome morning!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Hidden Gem That Deserves All the Praise! From the moment I walked into this café, I knew I was in for something special. Whether you're looking for a cozy place to unwind with a cup of coffee, a spot for a relaxed brunch, or a full dining experience, this café delivers on every front — and then some. The Food:
The highlight of any café has to be the food, and let me just say — it was absolutely phenomenal. Every dish was prepared with incredible attention to detail and flavor. From the starters to the desserts, each bite felt like it was crafted with both skill and heart. The ingredients were fresh, the presentation was beautiful, and the taste… unforgettable. A special shoutout to Chef Aasish, whose passion clearly shines through in every plate that leaves the kitchen. His creativity, precision, and culinary expertise made the meal an experience rather than just a meal. If you get the chance to try one of his specials, don’t hesitate — you’re in for a treat. The Environment:
The café itself is warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed. Whether you’re seated by the window basking in natural light, tucked in a cozy corner with a book, or enjoying a meal with friends or family, the atmosphere adapts perfectly to every mood. The music is always just right — soft enough to allow conversation but present enough to enhance the vibe. It’s the kind of place you walk into and instantly feel at ease. The Staff:
Exceptional service can truly elevate any experience, and this café has some of the most genuine and attentive staff I’ve encountered. Right at the front, Babita deserves special mention. She welcomed us with such warmth and kindness that we felt like regulars from the start. She was friendly, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Her recommendations were spot on, and her smile alone brightened up the entire room. The rest of the team were just as wonderful — quick, courteous, and clearly proud to be part of a place that values both its food and its guests.

Final Thoughts:
This café isn’t just a place to eat — it’s a place to feel. You can tell that every element, from the food to the ambiance to the people, has been crafted with care and love. With talented individuals like Chef Aasish in the kitchen and Babita at the front, this café truly stands out as a must-visit destination. I can’t wait to return and try more from their menu. Highly, highly...

We had a horrible experience at this cafe. First of all the girl at the counter asked us to come over and order and pay at the counter which is totally fine if that’s your standard, and you don’t give a “special” treatment to specific people based on their colour and appearance. A young couple ordered at the table and the girl taking their order was fine with it.

Another issue: Ordered Big Brekkie and specifically asked to replace bacon and beef sausage roll with Mushrooms and spinach. Told the girl taking order at least 3 times that to make sure to replace meat items with vegetarian items. Order came and the bacon was right on top of bread and eggs. When I called the girl and mentioned about it, her reply “Can I remove the bacon?” NO YOU CAN’T. The bacon was touching almost all food items on the plate. I presume they never served vegetarian people before. NO APOLOGIES AT ALL. I requested the girl to make it again and which they agreed to. However I was served after 20 more minutes once everyone’s order (who ordered after us) was served.

If you mess up someone’s order at least have the courtesy and don’t make them wait. But I presume all basic customer service rules at this cafe were thrown out of the window.

DON’T come to this cafe if you’re vegetarian and not a white person. At least they know whom...

This is a well overdue review, my partner and I recently visited Great Scott for breakfast, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. This place deserves all the praise it gets! Staff and Service:

The staff at Great Scott are incredibly welcoming and attentive. A special shoutout to Sharnie, who provided outstanding service with a smile. She made our visit extra special with her friendly and professional demeanour. Thank you, Sharnie!

Value: Great Scott offers fantastic value for money. The portion sizes are generous, and the quality of the food is amazing. The “Big Breakfast” is our go-to with it being what we think is the best available in Launceston!

Atmosphere: The atmosphere at Great Scott is warm and inviting. The decor is charming, and the place has a cozy, welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay and enjoy your meal.

In summary, this place is a must-visit for anyone looking for a delightful breakfast experience. The amazing staff, excellent service, great value, and lovely atmosphere make it a place we'll definitely return to. Highly...
