Stopped by here with my partner and in-laws to have a bite to eat before we headed to the wetlands for a walk. The menu was interesting and offered a lot of different variety of food to cater for our different tastes. Lunch Menu
Ramen, Vegetarian option (with Tofu) Ordered by MIL and she loved it. The flavors were spot on not too salty and the proportion was generous enough to not leave you feeling too bloated. The pickled vegetables were the favorite of the dish.
Chicken Katsu Burger Definitely recommend. I wanted a burger and decided to try out the katsu burger and it did not disappoint. The Asian influenced slaw was so tasty (and not enough – I could have this on its own). The perfect mix of freshness and mayonnaise to make this burger flavorsome but not reliant on the sauce. Where the sauce runs down your hand when you’re trying to take a bite of the burger. This came with fries with was not too oily and crispy and fluffy on the inside. 24 hour glazed pulled pork Bao The bao was perfectly baked. My partner can be particular with the thickness of bread and the bao for these were the right thickness. Not all dough. The filling was generous and he had to eat is slowly to ensure the filling didn’t just end up on his plate.
Beverages Freshly squeezed juice: Orange, Carrot, Ginger mixed Chai latte (with almond milk) Chocolate milkshake
We were all disappointed when we finished our food. Do tasty and satisfying, but all agreed that would go back and or could eat the same dish again happily. Definitely recomm3end stopping by for lunch if you’re in the area.
Interiors Hardware flooring and textured walls. Really simply modern rustic interiors with bench seating and flexible tables to pull apart of push together.
There is also seating outside to catch some sun. There were no umbrellas up the day we visited, therefore we sat indoors.
Good lighting and acoustics for conversation. We sat near the pick-up station for food and it didn’t bother us at all. The kitchen staff and wait staff were professional and kept the area clear so we didn’t feel squished or in the way.
Staff All staff were professional and attentive. Topping up our water and clearing tables while taking more drink orders, all with a polite nod and confirmation of our orders. Even though the lunch session was pretty full, staff was available and polite the...
Read moreWe had been here on two occasions and had really enjoyed the food and the ambience. The service was acceptable. We came on Monday morning to have breakfast. There was no greeting from the staff, we had to ask for a table and menus. The three young girls on service lacked ANY semblance of enthusiasm or skills for waiting on customers. It was an ordeal even to order a drink . One girl had to check twice if they had any kombucha. In the end I opted for a juice just to keep it uncomplicated. We then had to ask to order our breakfast choices. One staff member was carrying dirty plates back to the kitchen and left them on a dining table instead and there they sat. Once we finally ordered, we observed other diners having to ask if they could now order, or worse still a couple who had one of their dishes arrive, then waited and waited for the next dish to arrive which it did not. They had to ‘rush’ it through. This entire dining experience was appalling due to three young girls being unorganised, disinterested and preferring to chat to each other. We are not confident in returning. Such a shame as the food is very good. The wait staff are letting the business down. Lift your...
Read moreNeed to change my last review. What has happened here? It used to be so well run. It is so incredibly frustrating watching your staff walk past dirty tables and not picking up a dish. Walking past food that the Chef has prepared and dinged the bell - just leaving it there for someone else to take and go cold? We have already had one meal served cold and demanded a replacement. Food is still excellent and coffee is great, and juice freshly squeezed at the counter. Atmosphere is lovely and attached to a very interesting gift shop. I just wish you would teach your staff manners and some basic serving skills. Never return to the kitchen empty-handed! Never say "Hey" to a customer and don't walk around looking for things to do when tables are covered in dirty plates and glasses. We don't want to see your pierced belly-button and please don't hang your stomach on the counter when you're not busy. Perhaps a nice uniform would be better than a tracksuit? Your staff all need training!!! Lift your game guys, this is meant to be a city of gastronomy and you are going backwards. Your staff are killing your restaurant. I really hope the...
