Poet's Cottage Stanley — Hotel in Tasmania

The most lovely place to be! This was our "splurge" accommodation for the holiday and we're so glad it was. It abounded in both luxury and charm, and we have lots of wonderful memories here, even from our short stay. We travelled with our 6 month old infant, there was plenty of room for us to put our own cot, and had the bonus of being able to use the baby monitor in the living room while the baby napped (a rarity on holiday to have space away from a sleeping baby!) Stanley was beautiful, but we didn't want to leave Poet's Cottage, there were so many delightful things! The kitchen had everything you need to cook a full meal, heaps of preparation space, utensils and general supplies. But the highlight was having Dave cook for us while Geraldine held our little one so we could eat with both hands for once! We loved our chats and are hopeful we can come back to t Poet's...

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Poet’s Cottage in Stanley, and we can’t thank Geraldine and Dave enough for their warm hospitality. The cottage is every bit as dreamy and charming as it looks. I absolutely loved the name ‘Poet’s Cottage.’ It truly feels like a place where, if you stay long enough, you might just be inspired to write a few poems yourself! Every corner of the place is so thoughtfully put together, making it a really great place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of slow living. Absolutely Brilliant I have to say. Poets Cottage is the one and only place you should be staying at when visiting the beautiful place of “Stanley”, Tasmania. Conveniently located and walking distance to most of the desirable locations including “The Nut”, Hursey’s Seafood Restaurant and within a short drive to the famous “Highfields House”. Poet’s Cottage has all the modern conveniences, with still maintaining all the charm of yesteryear.
