Stayed here for one night with family.
Pro: convenient location to/from the train station. Clean and spacious room.
Cons: no staff when you need them. We couldn’t even enter the property because no staff at all. We waited outside until some other guests swiped us in. Then we still couldn’t get the key. We had to make a call to their emergency number which costed us an internal call plus roaming. They later told me there’s an email sent to me that morning, but I somehow didn’t receive it until we jumped through all the loopholes and stuck there for at least 15 minutes. The hotel can’t assume international travelers to have access to email and phone calls on the same day of travel. It’s not the first time we used Expedia or Air BnB type, But it’s the first time being unable to check in ever happened to me. I was not happy about it after a long day of travel with kids, finally got there and no one there to help. Very frustrating! The information should be send out at least one day before arrival if not right after booking.
The room was cold at night, especially shower room. There’s a little heater in the shower room but it doesn’t work. There’s no housekeeping available.
Walls are thin. I could hear my neighbors talking in two different languages.
Last but not least, despite the hotel is called “room and breakfast” the breakfast is not included.it’s...
Read moreWhat an excellent gem in Salzburg! I had a different hotel reserved, but I had to change it to add my daughter at the last minute, and I found this hotel in Booking.com. The proximity to the train station was a big seller, only 3 minutes away. But “let’s start at the very beginning,” we arrived one hour earlier than expected and our room was ready. Alina at the front desk took care of us and let us know all the details, where to go to drop our suitcases and where to go for breakfast the next morning. She also helped us get a Salzburg 24-hour card, gave us a map, and let us know where the hotel was located based on the map. The next day we went for a delicious breakfast next door and Maria greeted us with a smile. Maria and Sonam took care of us, restocking the breakfast buffet and emptying tables. In summary, this is a great place to stay. Superb customer service from the front desk to the breakfast area staff, excellent proximity to the train station, super clean, well-stocked with toiletries, and at an affordable price. Also, did I mention that I was able to leave my suitcases for a few hours on the day that I was leaving so I can keep sightseeing before leaving? Don’t hesitate...
Read moreI had mixed experiences during my stay at this hotel. On the positive side, most of the staff members were friendly and accommodating. The location of the hotel was convenient, and I particularly enjoyed the excellent breakfast they served. However, I was a bit surprised with the shared apartment I stayed in. It felt quite old and you need to manually open the old small lift, which affected the overall ambiance. Despite that, the cleanliness of the apartment was satisfactory. Regrettably, my experience was marred by an incident involving a staff member named Franz. I felt offended for his rude behavior and even exhibited racial discrimination, which was extremely unacceptable. This incident ultimately led me to make the decision of canceling the remaining days of my stay. Considering the positive aspects, such as the hotel's location and the quality of breakfast, I would rate this hotel three stars. However, I strongly urge the management to address the issue of staff behavior and take steps to ensure a respectful and inclusive environment...
