HUB Food Art Lounge is a restaurant within the Hotel Pullman in the toney Vila Olímpia district of São Paulo. HUB has gotten great reviews and, as I had tickets to a concert across the street in the Theatro NET SP, I decided to try it. The chef sent out an amuse-bouche, a bolinho de bacalhau (codfish ball), just a bite but quite good coming from this connoisseur of bolinhos de bacalhau. They also provided a couvert of delicious warm fresh baked breads with various spreads. I chose the ceviche of the day as my appetizer. The portion was very generous, almost big enough for an entrée. My entrée was the house specialty: octopus (polvo) cooked in a special oven called a “Josper”. This oven both cooks the selected item, be it seafood or meat, and finishes it off with a barbecue type exterior. This dish was extraordinary and, at my request, the chef very kindly agreed to show me the Josper oven. Service by my waiter, Muhammad, was impeccable. By the way, as someone who enjoys the standard caipirinha with limão (lime) and cachaça, the barman at HUB makes an excellent drink. Highly recommended!

Giovanna and Diego served me and my sister during our first visit to this restaurant. Let me start by saying the food here is world class and better than most restaurants I’ve tried here in São Paulo. I can easily say they have one of the best kitchen I’ve tried. 2nd it was my sisters birthday they surprised her with cake and champagne and brought tears to her eyes. This restaurant really made an amazing first impression. Don’t hesitate to come here and I hope they make you feel as welcome and they made me.

Giovanna and Diego served me and my sister during our first visit to this restaurant. Let me start by saying the food here is world class and better than most restaurants I’ve tried here in São Paulo. Fui no dining in the dark (é 200 reais por pessoa para comer o jantar inteiro vendado e não dá pra saber o que você vai comer) e foi uma experiência péssima: Ponto negativo 1: Eu preenchi o formulário com alergias, falei que sou alérgico e a frutos do mar e na entrada me deram camarão pra comer (meu menu era de carne, nem era peixe). Sorte que minha alergia não é tão forte a ponto de ser perigoso. Como só comi 1 camarão, só fiquei com vermelhidão no rosto, garganta "coçando", lábios inchados e irritação no estômago, mas não tem perigo de minha garganta fechar se só for 1 camarão. Eu levantei a mão e avisei que comi camarão (eles falam pra levantar a mão se tiver que falar com alguém) a pessoa falou que já falar com os supervisores, mas depois disso ninguém veio falar comigo, ver se eu estava bem nem nada. Ponto negativo 2: o jantar era na sexta e o dia dos namorados foi na quarta. Fui com a minha namorada e a gente preencheu o formulário falando que na mesa era só pra ser nós 2, a gente fez isso 1 mês antes da data. Quando chegamos lá, a gente dividiu a mesa com mais 4 pessoas, pedi pra mudar de lugar, mas eles falaram que não dava, que era por ordem de compra. Poderiam fazer por ontem de chegada ou como é na semana de dias dos namorados fazer mais mesas de casais. Ponto negativo 3: Comida muito fraca por 200 reais. A entrada eram 3 petisquinhos, os 3 cabiam na palma da minha mão, o prato principal eu comi em 2 minutos e a sobremesa eram 3 coisinhas que também cabiam na palma da minha mão. Sai de lá com muita fome e jantei em casa de novo. O sabor era ok, nada de mais. A entrada tinha um nachos com guacamole que faço em casa facilmente, o camarão empanado e não lembro o outro. Prato principal era um risoto ao funghi e carne de cordeiro, mas a porção parecia ser kids e a sobremesa era um docinho de coco, um paçoquinha e um iogurte kkkk Ponto negativo 4: bebidas caríssimas no lugar. Só tem pacotes, o pacote mais barato é o de água, suco e refrigerante que é 50 reais, os de vinhos são 140 por 3 mini taças. Conclusão: ignorando o fato que eles foram totalmente imprudentes com a minha alergia. Esse jantar não vale mais que 80 reais, porque eles tentaram ser "gourmet", com uma comida ok, mas...

RESTAURANTE HUB FOOD ART & LOUNGE - HOTEL PULLMAN SÃO PAULO VILA OLÍMPIA O Restaurante Hub Food Art & Lounge - Hotel Pullman São Paulo Vila Olímpia, apresentou em um organizadíssimo jantar o novo cardápio elaborado pelo chef Willian Carvalho e sua equipe. Eu fui convidado, eu estive presente experimentando as delicias elaboradas pelo chef e confesso que fiquei perplexo com os pratos apresentados. Tudo muito gostoso, desde a entrada até a sobremesa, além da linda apresentação do jantar.

Iniciamos com um coquetel no lounge para todos os convidados se integrarem acompanhando bons espumantes e vinhos. No decorrer passamos para o jantar e iniciamos com uma entrada de Camarão Escalfado, Grapefruit, Mini Funcho, Geleia de Pimenta e Gengibre. Estava deliciosa essa entrada, os camarões no tempo certo de preparo, a macies nítida e os temperos perfeitos, a suavidade e integração geral do prato foi surpreendente. Na sequência e já o primeiro prato eu optei pelo POLVO - Sendo: o Polvo, Pancetta, Purê de Ervilha, Vegetais Baby e Farofa de Azeitona Negra. Eu acredito ser uns dos melhores polvo que provei nos últimos tempos. Que prato delicioso, é admirável o talento deste chef conseguir realizar um prato de polvo tão bem feito pra muitos convidados. O Polvo é complicado de elaborar, ainda mais em quantidades grandes. Eu adorei, parabéns ao chef e sua equipe. Finalizei e gostei muito da sobremesa. CREMOSO DE CHOCOLATE - Uma sobremesa suave, nada muito doce e a integração dos ingredientes de um cuidado único e especial.
