Transamerica Paradise Garden — Hotel in Região Imediata de São Paulo

I was expecting just another hotel room similar to the one I had in another hotel of this chain but what I got was a complete suite of rooms for about the same price. There were actually four rooms. There was a full kitchen complete with full size stove and oven, refrigerator, counter top dish washer as well as an assortment of pots and pans, utensils and silverware. That room was also the laundry room with a washer and a dryer. The main living area had a dining table, a sofa and large flat screen television. In addition to the master bedroom with the master bathroom, there was also a second bedroom with a small built-in desk. ||||The balcony had a small table and chair and enough room that you could sit and enjoy your coffee while listening to the children play at the nearby day care center.||||The other features of the hotel were also above the minimalist you'd find elsewhere. The lobby is large with staircases sweeping up on either side to the mezzanine. Instead of a simple curbside out the front door, there is a circular drive in a fairly lush garden atmosphere. ||||About the only weak spot is the restaurant which is superior for the provided breakfast but the ala carte dinner items are simply average. They have a soup buffet at dinner time and the one member of our party who tried that said it was something of a mixed bag. The neighborhood is pleasant and has a number of small cafes and restaurants and there is a good size grocery store about two blocks away. About four blocks north of the hotel is Paulista Avenue while toward the south is Ibirapuera park an easy mile walk away.||||The decor of the suite is a little spartan and it doesn't give the impression of being the most luxurious or modern but it is very nice and is our preferred location for stays...

Ao sair eu pedi um táxi. A pessoa na recepção diz que ia chegar em 7 minutos e eu estava indo para hotel Pullman Garulhos do lado do aeroporto, 40 minutos de distância On my way out I requested a taxi from the front desk and they mentioned it would take 7 minutes to Pullman hotel next to the airport. About 40 minutes away.

O taxista me cobrou $190 reais para a viagem. Não ligou o taxímetro e não deu nota fiscal. Eu ainda perguntei, tudo isso? Ele disse sim por causa do bairro The táxi driver charged me $190. Never turned on the meter. And never gave me a receipt. I asked him that is a lot? And he said it was because of the neighborhood.

Eu tentei pedir a informação do gerente mais às pessoas na recepção não quis passar. Perguntei se era uma companhia registrada e eles disse que a maioria de táxis em São Paulo não é de cooperativas. Falarão que era um problema entre eu e a pessoa do táxi que eles chamarão I tried to get the managers information but the receptionists did not provide it to me. I asked if the company is registered and was told most taxi companies in São Paulo aren’t. They told me the issue was between me and the taxi that they called.

No final nunca recebi a informação do gerente e a funcionária não me responde mais no WhatsApp. Fizerão tudo para não dar a informação. Eu acho que eles tem um esquema com a “companhia” de táxi. -In the end I never got the managers information and the employees stopped responding via WhatsApp. They did everything to not provide me the information. I am guessing it’s because they are In with the “taxi” company.

Preste atenção que esse prédio tem pessoas que mora aqui. Quando eu fiquei os vizinhos tavão brigando e era muito ate no mínimo meia noite. Eu senti que não poderia reclamar de alguém que mora lá. -Please be aware that there are people who live in this building. During my stay the neighbor was fighting with his partner very loud until at least midnight. I felt that I couldn’t complain about a resident.

Chegamos no hotel eram 13h. Fomos até a recepção, onde nos informaram que o check-in era liberado somente após às 14h (já havíamos sido alertados sobre isso no momento da reserva). Deixamos, então, as malas na recepção, e fomos almoçar no restaurante do próprio hotel. O garçom que nos atendeu foi muito simpático, atencioso e prestativo. Porém, como o restaurante não estava atendendo com buffet naquele dia, mas somente com serviço à la carte (e talvez não estejam tão acostumados a servirem desse modo), o registro do pedido foi um pouco confuso. E tivemos um “contratempo” com dois dos nossos pratos, que foram substituídos por outro sem que fossemos avisados previamente (pedimos frango à Cordon Bleu, e foi servido peito de frango grelhado). Mas os pratos são bem generosos! Servem muito bem uma pessoa (pratos individuais). E a comida é ótima! Retornamos para a recepção às 14h30, e nos informaram que um dos quartos ainda não estava liberado (a reserva era para 2 quartos). E que demoraria cerca de 20 minutos para que pudéssemos entrar. Achei isso uma falha do hotel, já que o check-in deveria estar liberado às 14h! Nosso apartamento tinha sala de estar; cozinha e área de serviço conjugadas; escritório (transformado em quarto); banheiro social e suíte. Tudo muito bem limpo, organizado e espaçoso, acomodando confortavelmente 3 pessoas. Com acabamento de primeira e bem equipado, com máquina de lavar louça, máquina de lavar roupas, secadora de roupas e micro-ondas, além dos demais itens que são comuns em um apartamento. Todos os ambientes eram climatizados (com split). O chuveiro dos banheiros é ótimo! E a suíte tem banheira de hidromassagem. O hotel dispõe ainda de academia, sauna e piscina aquecida, porém não utilizamos nenhum desses espaços. E o estacionamento é gratuito para hóspedes. O café da manhã é muito bom! Servem café passado, e também cafés expressos (de máquina). E a localização do hotel é excelente. Entre a Avenida Paulista e o Parque do Ibirapuera, num lugar extremamente calmo e tranquilo. Passamos o final de semana, sem nem parecer que estávamos em uma cidade...
