Lux Riverside Hotel & Apartment — Hotel in Khan Daun Penh

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Lux Riverside Hotel in Phnom Penh for two nights, and my experience was nothing short of wonderful. While there was a small mix-up with my booking initially—I had reserved a King Suite but was given a Family Room instead—the staff went above and beyond to make things right. Rather than letting the situation dampen my stay, I embraced the larger space and ended up hosting a fun little gathering in the Family Room. The next day, the team seamlessly moved me to the King Suite, which was absolutely stunning and exceeded my expectations in every way.

What truly stood out to me was the staff’s unwavering commitment to guest satisfaction. One example of their exceptional service was when I needed some laundry done after hours. Despite the odd timing, the concierge made it happen and even expedited the process to ensure I had everything back quickly. This level of care and attention is rare, and I was deeply impressed by their dedication.

Beyond their professionalism, the staff were genuinely sweet, polite, and incredibly helpful throughout my stay. Their warmth and kindness truly made me feel at home. This was my first visit to Cambodia, and I’m completely enamored with Khmer culture and the hospitality of the Cambodian people. My experience at the Lux Riverside Hotel has left me with lasting memories, and I cannot wait to return to this beautiful country and its amazing people.

Excellent facility. The staff are exceptional. Everyone is very helpful and always have a smile on their faces.

The rooms are clean and comfortable.

Breakfast has something for every palate, from bacon and eggs to Asian dishes, breads and cereal. Lots of restaurants nearby for lunch and dinner.

The market is just a few minute walk, or a short tuk tuk ride away for those looking for souvenirs.

It is on a pub street and this may be off-putting to some but the pub activities stayed outside.

I have stayed here many times and most recently while living here I booked the place when I didn't feel like driving all the way home. I always feel safe here and if you get one of the rooms in the back it is very quiet considering the area. I look forward to the breakfast buffet during my stay. They have a guarded parking garage for cars and bikes. I've never had an issue and have nothing but positive things to say. This would be one of the best places in the city if...
