Harry’s Sports Bar — Restaurant in Khan Daun Penh

Came in June with my partner, he had the Cottage Pie and I had the Beef LokLak (1st & 2nd photo) Loklak was satisfying especially when I managed to get the small chilli for my taste buds and change to a better sunny side up egg (previous was well overdone). Cottage Pie looks mouthwatering and had a small taste, was good that it lingers in my head but never had the chance to return until last night.

So last night I walked in alone for the Friday $5 Food Deal, only appropriate to seat at the bar as didn’t want to take up big tables for one. I had to move bar seat when I had the aircon & fan drafted on my back (brrrr…)

Eventually got comfortable at the first bar end by the door entrance, however, cigarette smoke & smell were hurting me from a smoker 3 seats away from me, urghhh…

Anyway, I decided to put up with it when staff said the whole bar allows smoking grrr…. So I quickly finish my dinner and not hang out any longer.

While I was able to enjoy the yummy pie (3rd photo) I asked for chilli flakes & parmesan. Got the parmesan, yay thank you but surprised they don’t have chilli flakes when the bar actually serves pizza. Anyway, next time I will byo..

Popped in tonight as Harry’s has good recommendations Staff-friendly enough about 8 other people in the downstairs area Ordered two beers out promptly and cold Ordered food for the two of us so far all good Whilst then chatting saw a big rat outside the door no problem Big rat then came in followed a clear path straight off towards the back of bar area near the kitchen. Obviously not the first time it’s been in this way The person I was with then complained to the staff that a big rat was running though the bar They said they know about it We sat and discussed this at which point an even bigger rat followed the path of the first down towards the back of the bar where people were sitting and we followed it as far as the kitchen At this point we said cancel the food we are not eating Be we offered to pay for the beer that we had started drinking The staff said no charge for the beer and that they were sorry and had been using exterminators for several months to try and sort this out I know rats are never far from humans and would expect this at a road side restaurant/tea shop But not in a...
