We very much enjoyed our 5 nights at Petit Villa. The lush garden, exotic fish and even two baby crocodiles made it feel like you were away from it all. At first I thought it seemed a bit run down but after the second day, I could appreciate the simplicity of it all. I really don’t need things to be fancy or chic. It is a clean place and we enjoyed the tranquility. Petit Villa is a nice getaway from the heat and busy streets of Siem Reap. The location is perfect. Just off the beaten track and there are a number of great restaurants in the neighborhood (such as Spoons). However, we highly recommend eating at the restaurant! The food was amazing. Even our kids enjoyed the dishes! The menu offers several Khmer dishes as well as Western dishes. Breakfast and smoothies were also yummy. Additionally, we made use of the spa and had a fantastic massage for $10. We would come back here and would recommend it to others.

This review is a tricky one since the quality significantly enhanced over our stay and we stayed a week. First night we had to stay downstairs and it was a nightmare: humid and it smelled moldy - don’t stay there, not even one night. In the beginning also the breakfast was very simple... Since we stayed with our Cambodian friend we also managed to change that. After some days we had a nice & good breakfast. So from day three on everything was great so day one gets 1 star, day two 2, day 3, and the rest of the days 4. The problem here is, that I don’t know how it would have been without that excellent improving communication by my Cambodian friend...

Beautiful large rooms full of character! Food is just okay. Friendly staff. Proprietor seems to be living on the premises and guests may feel like they are intruding on family functions. Beautiful pool but too shady for sun worshippers. Very overrun by mosquitos. Not far from pub street-about 10-15min walk. Small dogs allowed to accompany guests. Good for families or groups. Not ideal for 'spring breakers' or rowdy groups. Very peaceful and quiet.

The room we booked, was a Double with no window. it was on the topr floor, so after 10 days we had great legs. The room was clean, along bathroom, & sheets. And had wifi, tv & air con. It is about 1-2 Km outside of town, which is what we were looking for. It was quiet after 11pm on the street. less traffic noise & the wedding stop playing music early. The breakfast was good, it was an omelet with toast or an omelet sandwich was easier to eat in the heat, also you were given fruit if you wanted it & tea/coffee . There was also free water in the room it was there is no safe, but was safe to leave valuables. The staff are friendly & helpful, they spoke broken English but were accommodating when they knew what we were looking for. ||||We had a mix up over our booking to a boat from a travel guide, and they had availability to let us stay & kept us in our room. The owner & tuk tuk driver helped to solve our bus problem, but the company wouldn't give us a refund. A tuk-tuk driver Lors was great! He really made us enjoy our trip around Sieam Reap, was helpful & friendly & great fun! The other tuk tuk drivers from the hotel were very goo too, taking us on a round small tour & large tour for $20 for two people. They from 08:30 to 18:30, they also stopped for lunch in good restaurants. We were visiting over Chinese New Year so was very busy.||||The owner and his wife are friendly & will organise things for you. They organised us to go to the Traditional Dancing show with a Buffet. Their two daughters are so cute & funny. Really enjoyed our stay,...

I just would like to express my profound appreciation for the warm Cambodian hospitality extended to me by Petit villa Boutique and Spa. It truly is a paradise tucked quietly in the city central. I love that it’s close to the hip and happening places, but not in the middle of the chaos and noise. Part of its charm is the Asian inspired rooms and bathrooms ( i just love!!) which to me are a testament to how beautiful and rich Cambodian culture is. Most importantly, what I loved most about this place is their staffs. I came to Siem Reap to celebrate my 30th birthday, and boy was I not disappointed. Siem Reap not only prides itself of the beautiful temples and breathtaking sceneries but also of its warm and friendly people. I was totally blown away by the surprise the staffs have prepared. They truly have gone the extra mile to make sure my birthday was special. They prepared a cake, decorated my room and prepared a warm bath with scented candles and rose petals. THE WORKS! Working in the hospitality industry, I’ve built high expectations of what quality service is, and Petit Villa Boutique and Spa has just surpassed it. I just know that this will not be my first visit to Siem Reap. I have found a home here and left a part of my heart with it. To their wonderful staffs, Marady and Hunii B Ya, from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU SOOO MUCH! I hope to visit see you guys...

The setting is stunning and very serene and inviting. The gardens of this hotel are really lovely and made to look like a mini jungle, which is a cool , shady relief. Extremely peaceful and relaxing- sometimes to the point that you wish there were a few more people around, just to create a bit of life and atmosphere. ||||The staff are very kind ,and breakfast, with its warm croissants, and tasty omelettes ,good ,although the coffee is a bit watery and needs to be stronger. ||||The hotel appears to be staffed by various youngsters, all very kind, but they don’t speak much English, so it can be difficult to communicate if you want something in particular, or messages do not always get communicated to the appropriate person. For example, we wanted to do a different tour of the temples to the standard ones and despite an exhaustive chat to explain this, our driver seemed surprised on each occasion although he too was extremely accommodating. However,it unsettled us sufficiently to end up organising our own drives to the temple in a tuk- tuk, which actually turned out faster and cheaper. ||||Overall, a good hotel, providing you are happy to follow their suggested routes for temple trips.More||Date of stay:...
