I made my reservation by telephone, Kate was the representative I spoke with. I explained to Kate that I was traveling with my service dog and unfortunately I had forgotten my dog’s file at home. Kate was extremely helpful and understanding of my situation. She went ahead and made the reservation for my fiancé and I with Rusti my service dog. I was informed that the only room available was a King size bed suite and I was provided the address where the hotel was located. We arrived at the hotel and we checked in without a problem by Vinu at the reception desk. However, hours later in the evening when we were about to go have dinner, Vinu confronted my fiancé and said to him “you have a dog” very forcefully and in a rude manner almost angry. I was walking out of the room and she said “you need to come to the front desk” I said I would be there shortly. I got there and she told me that the hotel was not pet friendly and that I’d have to go somewhere else. She added, you will not see any other dogs on the premises because they’re not allowed in the hotel. I asked if she could talk to the manager and if an exception could be made. She tried to tell me that we were supposed to go to another hotel. But, that was the address and room information we were provided by Kate, I even told her please talk to the manager there’s no way I can get another room this late. I was told it would cost me $120 plus tax for my dog to be allowed there. I had no choice but to pay. I was lied to by Vinu, the gentleman that was staying right next door to us “Serge” had his dog with him and he’s actually living there for the next three years. I tried to speak to the manager when I was checking out and he was actually there as we were leaving, I asked if he was the manager and he said yes. I let him know that I was extremely disappointed and dissatisfied with the fact that I was lied to about the “Not Pet Friendly” status of the hotel and that I was lied to since the person right next door has his dog there. I want the hotel to refund me the money they charged $120 plus tax to allow me to stay with my service dog. The only mistake I made was to have left my file at home with all her paperwork. I told the manager that I wanted my money refunded and he didn’t refund it. Therefore, I will contact my credit card company to request my money back and the hotel is fully responsible for it.
I’m not happy with their service and how they handled the situation,...
I play poker alot stay in hotels every week since I moved out of falls..I stayed at quality inn on ferry st Niagara falls two weeks ago I checked in late after poker game at casino Niagara 3am only in room 8 hours they take 300 cash deposit. The first thing I notice entering room is a semen stain or gross snot on curtain right at eye level beside door. After settling in i go outside door of room have five drags off cigarette and then put in a plastic cup with water in it so I don't pollute and set in garbage can in my room (ive done this in many hotels and no complaints). When I went to check out in the morning the Indian girl and her housekeeper guy said room stinks of smoke (lies) and they found cup with cigarette butt in it and that they will have to take $250 off my 300 dollar deposit. I almost went to jail because I felt like I was being robbed but collected myself and realized this place employs criminals. After asking them to check cameras to see I stepped out of room for like twenty seconds to have quick puff before I went to sleep. They refused to do so with a crooked grin on her face. Oh well I just stayed at Niagara Lodge last seven days on Lundy's lane and every time I go play poker I tell this story to the whole table (different table every day sometimes more if I do table change). Ive worked in casino industry since 94 and know many people so many tourists all the casino staff and out of town friends I see every day at the poker tables at casino Niagara and I tellem the story of how quality inn on ferry st robbed me of 250. When I finished telling them they were aghast and shocked so you can bet they won't stay there. And I really like to tell the tourists out in the smoking area on the lower level of casino.. and I guarantee you they will not be staying at quality inn. I would of rather stayed at quality inn cause of closeness to casino..but after that shiteshow I'll never go again and will make sure many tourists and friends never do also. Thanx quality inn! Somebof your employees (Indian)...
Read moreI didn't have a prior reservation. I just walked in and booked a room, simple and easy. Front Desk attendant was nice enough. But there were issues:
The toilet in the room I had (room 317) barely flushed. It was clearly malfunctioning and is bound to become a problem if not looked into.
The phone didn't work. The attendant set me up in a situation where I could go into another room and use the phone, but it was a little strange.
The fireplace didn't come on. I followed the instructions but no dice.
The shower is so small it's like trying to wash in a phone booth and that's being generous.
There is no sound proofing in the pipe system, so every time someone turns water on/off or flushes the toilet you can hear pipe slamming noises in the bathroom, super annoying.
The cable TV didn't work well. Channels would just hang and some channels like FOX didn't work at all.
There is a free breakfast and it would be perfect except the only meat they serve is pork bacon. Considering that you're going to have Muslim and Jewish guests, you should seriously consider having turkey sausage or turkey bacon as an option. Also, some people are allergic to eggs, so consider having home fries as an option as well.
The pricing is not exactly honest. I asked the attendant when I signed in what all the charges would be, and while I expected to be taxed I didn't expect to get the bill and be charged a DESTINATION MARKETING FLAT FEE. I'm sorry, but that charge is ridiculous. Why should I have to pay for YOUR marketing? At the time, I wasn't aware that this was voluntary. It's just a way to get more money out of unsuspecting tourists, smh.
All in all, it's not a terrible place, the room was clean enough, the place was quiet, and the bed was fine, but it's not worth what I paid considering the issues...
