I visited this location in Late August/Early September 2022. I ended up staying at this location after a friend recommended another hotel to me a that was horrible. I immediately went online to search for other hotels in the area and came across Courtyard. I’ve stayed at Courtyard in several other cities before so I immediately booked. Upon entering the hotel, we were greeted by the front desk staff and the check in process was smooth. The representative apologized there were no more rooms with the Falls view but we could have a city view. He then went on to inform us we could get a room with a king-sized bed and sofa bed with a jacuzzi. He gave us a free upgrade. At this point we didn’t even mention we just checked out of another hotel because of the horrible experience we had. He was so courteous and professional. We then told him about our experience at the other hotel. The hotel’s lobby is very clean and spacious with lots of sitting areas, a tv, and a fireplace. The Keg is a restaurant located at the hotel; I didn’t visit the restaurant during my stay. Keep in mind breakfast isn’t included in your price for your stay. Before heading upstairs to the right you’ll see The Market you can purchase beverages and snacks. Once you choose your items you pay for them at the front desk. There is also a microwave in this area to use. There is a luggage storage room on the lobby floor. To the left in the lobby is the Business Center with 2 computers and a printer. On the ground floor are restrooms, an ATM Machine, the pools indoor and outdoor (both were open), and the gym. The outdoor pool is open from 8:00 am-8:00 pm and the indoor from 7:00 am – 11:00 pm. Both pools were very spacious and the temperature of the water was warm. The outdoor pool has both regular chairs and lounge chairs. The indoor pool has regular chairs and small tables. There are also steps to get into and out of the pools. There is a shower area where you can shower before getting into the pool and changing rooms. There is also a towel section so you don’t have to worry about bringing a towel down with you. The hot tubs and sauna are both closed. There are two elevators to take upstairs. We were up on the 9th Floor. Upon entering our room, we were so relived. It was such a significant difference from the other hotel, the room was perfect. The view was perfect. We were able to see the city the Sky Wheel, the Golf Course, Speedway Race Track, The Rainbow Bridge, etc. This view became my sitting area many mornings and evenings. The beds were absolutely comfortable, it seemed as though as soon as you lay down you would fall asleep. Housekeeping doesn’t come every day which was fine as I just called downstairs when we needed our garbage cans empty. There is however a door hanger that gives you a selection of times you would want housekeeping to come. The room didn’t have a safe to store our valuables but there was one at the front desk. The pictures online do not do the rooms justice, they have been renovated and look much better than the online pictures. There was a closet in the room with an iron in it. There are also drawers. The room also has a fridge and coffee pot. I’m not a fan of room with a sink outside of the restroom but it didn’t take away from my stay not one bit. The bathroom was spacious our room had only a stand-up shower but keep in mind we had the jacuzzi tub. The tv in our room was a smart tv, you were able to sign into your streaming accounts like Netflix and Prime. But we were rarely in the room to watch tv. We were able to control the temperature in the room. The air wasn’t loud. The hotel is in close proximity to Clifton Hills, several restaurants, souvenir shops, and the main attractions. If you are driving you pay additional for parking. We had such a great stay at this location. Check out was at 12:00 pm although we left earlier. I will be sure to book this hotel when I return and recommend it to others. Thank you Courtyard Staff for coming...
Read moreI’m genuinely disappointed with my recent stay at The courtyard Marriott, Niagara Falls. While the facilities were decent, the behavior of one of the staff members completely ruined my experience.||We travelled as a group of 4, we are two married couples. My friend is actually 7 months pregnant. We decided to watch a movie after coming back to our hotel at 1:00 am. As we were watching happy Gilmore, we received a phone call saying that there has been a noise complaint about us because we were yelling. There was absolutely nobody speaking as we were watching a movie. My husband, reassured her that she must have the wrong room because we are watching a movie and nobody is yelling. She then said to my husband that he was failing to listen to her and she would be giving us a written notice and calling 911 for not complying. My husband said, “can you please just come up here and see that we aren’t the ones making the noise.” She then hung up on the phone on him and I called back in order to clarify what was going on as I was very confused. I called back and asked her to explain and her reply was “your husband isn’t willing to listen to me so I’m calling the police on you to evacuate.” I was in absolute disbelief and asked to speak to the manager and her reply was “I am the manager and you are going to listen to what I’m saying right now or else I’m not talking to you.” At this point I’m in utter shock because we are 31 year old adults watching a movie on Netflix being told the police are coming to evacuate our room. She then proceeded to argue with me telling me things my husband absolutely never said and I asked her if our conversation was being recorded because he was not being disrespectful AT ALL and I wanted her to play back the conversation to prove that. she then became so angry over the phone it was actually scary to be told that the police were coming because we were watching a movie. I then asked “Is our tv too loud?” She said “yes that was the noise complaint.” and I replied “you said we were yelling tho at no point did u say our tv was too loud (which it wasn’t). ||I am in utter shock and disbelief that a manager spoke to me in the tone of voice that she did with the disrespect that she did. I spent 450$ to stay here to he spoken to like this. Please do not spend your money at this hotel as there are MANY hotels in Niagara where you do not need to be disrespected in such a way. We will never be returning here again. Spend your money at the Hilton the staff are so much more friendly and genuinely care about their customers. ||I am not one to write reviews but how this manager made us felt was absolutely disgusting. Her tone of voice, accusations and threatening behaviour was absolutely inexcusable and she actually ruined our trip. I spoke with the manager the next morning, come to find out the woman I was on the phone with wasn’t the manager, so she lied TO TOP IT OFF. ||Hospitality is about making guests feel welcome, respected, and valued. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. I left feeling disrespected and uncomfortable.||||I truly hope management takes guest feedback seriously and addresses this kind of behavior. No one should feel belittled or mistreated during what’s supposed to be a restful stay.||||I won’t be returning — and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel until serious improvements are made in customer service and...
Read moreFalse sense of security. Had my new Lexus SUV stolen this weekend in the Courtyard Marriott Hotel parking lot. Look it up. Google it. It’s a big big problem. Organized crime ring in the area that unless you google it, no one is talking about. The vehicles are being put in shipping containers and shipped to the Middle East and South Africa/Ghana. Took 7+ hours to have the cops show (what does that tell you). The cops were great. But apparently this is a problem and it’s getting worse. It’s a known issue and the casinos and hotels are not doing ANYTHING to make the parking lots safer. Apparently 100 were stolen from the casino parking lots over the summer. But hearing now it’s around 50 a weekend, from hotel parking lots and casinos. I can see from a review on here that someone’s car was broken into 6 days ago in this parking lot. More I review, more I see people saying cars were stolen at numerous hotels including the other Marriott in Niagara, Ontario. A known issue and nothing being done to fix the source of the issue. Safety. Just shows they DO NOT care what happens to your car in their lots, but stay in their hotel and give them your money. What I know now - I would not keep a vehicle over night in the Niagara/Toronta area one night or in the dark. Hotel didn’t offer us a drink of water, nothing. There waiting for the cops, like I said 7+ hours. Called corporate and they talked to the hotel management and management told them they would credit us our parking fees. Thanks - figured at least that much, since my vehicle was stolen the first night of our stay. In my entire life I have never written one negative review and it’s not like I have not had a bad experience before. I am truly scared for anyone to leave there car in any of these hotel parking lots. They are not going to tell you that they just had a vehicle stolen from their hotel. Super false sense of security. I’m sleeping and right below me is a criminal taking my car. Nope - BEWARE. Look it up. I could share more, such as the hotel didn’t even clean up the glass from where the lexus was broken into and another guest parked on it. I am extremely disappointed in Marriott - super subpar responses. Don’t want to even get into how we ended getting our way back into the US. When we finally were able to get a rental car from the Buffalo airport- they said they do not let their luxury rental cars into Canada. It’s that well known. Again, beware. Unless these hotels start adding overnight and full time security in their parking lots, that they charge you to park in - lol, I would not stay there. Even then, I’d be super weary. Basically, your insurance will replace your car, so they do not care and they do not take any liability. And no one is talking about it, to keep the...
