I went to movado's for a family supper this evening and to say the least it was a very disappointing experience. First off the waitress was phenomenal and was very understanding. With that being said everyone's dishes were cold over salted and just plain gross. The rice for starters was served like microwavable rice all clumped together and dry, the turkey was served pink dry and pre-shedded, the salmon was extremely dry, the fettuccine pasta was the worst anybody has ever had. Lacked flavor and texture. The chicken sandwich was a complete salt block and dry. The peas and carrots were cold and shriveled up like they've been reheated 10 times. The teriyaki Rice bowl seemed like it was made by dollar store food. And not even good dollar store food at that. They also didn't have a few items in stock after we ordered, the waitress came back to apologize stating that those items were no longer made by the kitchen staff or ordered by the kitchen staff. The chief never came out to apologize at all. When multiple people at the table complained politely the manager only comped 50% of a meal and offered up slice of pie. After everyone complained the manager would not come out and speak to the table and instead a member of the family had to go speak to the manager in their office. All that was resolved was an extra 20% taken off the entire bill. Again the waitress did all she could in her power to make things better. Three people took their food back and only was was compt. Needless to say no one will be going back and word of mouth is very powerful. I hope that movado's has an opportunity to make things better for the next person who complains about...
Read moreOn April 4th around 630pm I went into the bar for a beverage and date for about 5 minutes and asked for a beer. I was told I’m not allowed to be there. I ask why and the you male bartender said i was there before trying to start fights with everyone. The weird thing is I clearly remember being there about 1 week earlier and there was male that actually was trying to fight people and left without tipping. The same bartender was working that night and we actually talked about that person and the other bartender said they didn’t tip and I was like “ some people” I find it incredibly disrespectful and interesting that a week later I’m being accused of being that person. I bitterly said you have the wrong person and I reiterated that about 5 times before leaving respectfully. How embarrassing and what a terrible bartender. I will never spend 1 more dollar there unless this is...
Read moreThis review is for the restaurant side.
Met family (11 people) there for breakfast. Our host started out fairly attentive, but soon after, she disappeared and didn't service our tables at all (the restaurant wasn't overly busy). We were left with no water, no coffee, plates sitting on the table for close to an hour.
Can't speak for other's food (no one raved about the food, so that's kinda a clear sign the food was mediocre at best, no one complained), but I had eggs Benny. Wasn't bad, actually. My only criticism is that they don't put enough hollandaise sauce on the eggs (the hollandaise sauce was fairly good). I love tater tots, so I ordered those, lol, but they were were over cooked, didn't eat them all.
Perkins was far better. Would be good to see this place step it up in terms of quality and service. Maybe stick to Denny's...
