Spent a couple of nights at hip hotel, over the weekend, and blown away by the customer service from staff.
Room was very clean with huge and very comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious with as much tea/coffee/juice as I desired. Location is great and local to some great restaurants.
The staff are incredible. I got scammed for 1000000 peso by taxi driver. Totally my fault. Also my bag, with all my fly fishing gear never turned up at airport. To say my head was fried, would be an understatement. Izabela was incredibly kind to me and spent a few hours helping me getting phone working so I could call bank and put hold on cards and then went to police station with me to help with translation. This was after her work shift btw. Woman is an angel.
Lucas and Sebastian did everything possible to help in trying to locate bags and issues with my phone and drove me to airport to pick up bag when it finally arrived. Absolute gents.
I find it amusing that previous reviews complain about issues with communication. I have traveled and lived all over the world. When I am dealing with someone who's first language is not English, I find that by being patient and having respect for them usually solves most communication issues as best as is possible. I don't speak Spanish so I expect language barriers when traveling in a country where English is not spoken language.
This is pretty basic common curtesy,...
Read moreThis hotel is just that - Hip. The rooms are nicely decorated with state of the art technology and the fact that it is connected to a nightclub makes it ultra fun. ||We arrived at the hotel two hours before check-in so asked if our room was ready, hoping that we would be able to check-in early. We were told that we were, but for a fee, and the fee was HALF the cost of a one night stay. That seemed absolutely ridiculous to us as it was only two hours before our check-in time and the room was obviously ready for us. We declined this and had them store our luggage instead, arriving hours later to check-in. This definitely soured the experience a bit for us. ||If you are looking for privacy or are travelling with those you are not 100% comfortable with, this place is not for you. The bathroom has glass walls and even though there is a privacy shade that comes down, the door is still completely see through and offers a direct view into the shower. However, our absolute favourite part was the Japanese toilette - A ++. ||They accommodated the fact that we were not able to enjoy the breakfast included with our stay (as we were out of the hotel before the breakfast time) by delivering a sufficient breakfast to our room. Due to a miscommunication between the hotel staff, we did not get this service one morning, but we did the second day. ||Cool hotel, difference concept and location. Glad we...

Our stay at Hotel Hip in Santiago’s Patio Bellavista was a mix of positives and some drawbacks.
The Good:
The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming.
A special mentionto the Rezeption and to Cecilia, who prepared a great breakfast every morning with fresh fruit, bruschetta with tomatoes, and a warm, friendly attitude that made us feel at home.
The rooms are very clean, modern, and comfortable.
Patio Bellavista itself is vibrant and full of life, offering plenty of dining and entertainment options. At night, the area is closed off and guarded, adding a layer of security.
The Not-So-Good:
The hotel’s balcony area feels a bit "forgotten"—there should be two bars, but they seem to have been closed for a while, as dust has settled over everything. Nothing much happens in the evenings there.
While Patio Bellavista is lively during the day, the surrounding area isn’t the safest at night. During our stay, there was a gang assassination at 3 AM, just 50 meters from our window, which was unsettling. Sadly, we wouldn’t recommend walking around outside the complex after dark.
Final Thoughts:
Hotel Hip offers friendly service, clean rooms, and a great location for daytime activities, but the evening atmosphere in the hotel is lacking, and safety concerns in the surrounding area make it less appealing for nighttime...
