We arrived late evening. Checked on hostelworld, there still rooms available. We stepped in, two girls of the staff were sitting on the couch watching tv. Was hard to gain their attention. They said they were full, i insisted, they yelled at someone in an other room, who answered there was still space, so the girl finally gave up her tv show and let us in. We paid, no receipt, no datas on the guest book. The room was minuscule, with four beds so close to each other that was kinda one unic big bed. The whole hostel was smelly. All carpeted, and the carpet was sticky and dirty. Sheets on the beds were old and look like they hadn't been changed in a while. Only two common little bathroom for 4 dorms. And really really dirty. ||We wanted to rent trekking equipment, as they say on their webpage (the reason why we picked this place) but the service was not available.||Breakfast was minimal, and i got to rewash cups and plates before use, cause the "supposedly clean" one were smelly and sticky. The bread was days old, the milk and yoghurt were left all night out of the fridge in a very warm environment, not safe at all.||The storage room is open and unguarded, no control system whatsoever.||WORST HOSTEL...

Read moreWe stayed at the Hostel Danicar for one night in Puerto Natales before our trek at Torres del Paine. At first after meeting and booking with the owner at the bus station it seemed like a good option until we ended up at the hostel. Not only were the sheets stained but the bathroom was dirty and only had enough hot water for one shower. The wifi only worked in a few places in the house. The owner did go purchase our early morning bus tickets for us but then she was no where to be found in the morning for check out. We looked everywhere and called her name. There was supposed to be breakfast at 6 but we left at 7:30 and still nothing and no check out. The only reason that I gave two stars is because we left our bag in storage while on the trek and thank god it was still there when we returned. Although to pick it up we showed up and walked in to the hostel as the door was open and couldn't find the owner anywhere... Yet again. Then while looking for her we found our bag so we just picked it up and left. There is no way we would ever recommend this hostel to someone ever again. Terribly...
