Firstly, I hired camping equipment from here - I did not stay overnight.
Secondly, I was assisted when I first arrived to collect equipment and when I returned said equipment by two separate female members of staff who were incredibly friendly and helpful.
However, when returning equipment I was also served by a man-bunned chap who had a serious attitude problem. At first, I thought his sassiness was in jest so went along with it trying to make a joke out of his abrupt nature. Turned out he was in no laughing mood. The staff of course have to check over all of the equipment when it’s returned to check for damage.
The first time I opened the tent once I started on day 1 of the W Trek I noticed a very small tear (

From guests playing music to two unattended children running back and forth across the living room and guests generally being raucous until late in the night the paper thin walls and creaky floorboards, this place is a weary traveler's nightmare. Ear plugs and a private room did nothing to drown out the sounds. Though the room was generally clean, there was a lot of black mold in the bathroom and the room was really musty. The guy who checked us in was helpful and even provided us with half a bottle of white gas for our stove that a previous guest left. We booked two nights and will be looking to stay elsewhere for the second night. I would not recommend this place to anyone who is in the area for trekking or vacation.
Update: When I requested to cancel, the night staff member was very understanding and helpful. He also must have talked to the music players because almost immediately after speaking with him, the music stopped and the hostel quieted down...

I would not recommend renting equipment from this establishment for a variety of reasons. One, not as advertised, online it noted the rain jackets/pants are Arc'teryx but they are not. We picked this place because that's what was advertised and that is what we reserved but the rain jackets/pants were Decathalon/forclaz. I'm not normally such a snob but it's frustrating when you are planning a pack to be as light and condensed as possible and then have to deal with bulky heavier gear. Second the quality of the other gear was also questionable. We had also rented waterproof gloves and poles. Both were really worn down - my poles had duct tape across a bunch of areas - making me really nervous - and the gloves grip was significantly worn down - flaking off. We didn't have time to go to another rental before leaving for the W trek so we had to follow these rentals through, but when I hopefully come back to do the O trek I will definitely be renting from...
