Sugar — Restaurant in Hong Kong Island

Sugar is located on the top floor of the Tai Kwun Hotel, offering magnificent views of the harbor, allowing guests to indulge in delicious food while enjoying the stunning scenery of Victoria Harbour.

The restaurant's environment is modern, with stylish design elements and comfortable, creating a trendy and relaxed atmosphere. It is conveniently located just a short walk from the Tai Koo MTR station. From the MTR station, simply follow the pedestrian path through the Tai Koo Fong shopping mall to easily reach the restaurant. As part of a series of cocktails named after planets, we ordered two cocktails and a serving of grilled Hokkaido scallops as appetizers.

Mercury $155 Rich, Velvety, Floral Ron Zacapa 23 Yrs Rum, Malibu, Darjeeling Tea, Orange Bitters I love tea + spirits combinations too ! Using sweet rum to balance the strong bitterness of the tea and bitters creates a sophisticated and mature flavor. The accompanying plate in the shape of a planet is incredibly stunning! It turns out that this cocktail even includes a rich and boozy panna cotta topped with crushed Oreos which is very enticing!

Neptune $145 Breezy, Toasty, Mellow Tanqueray Ten Gin, Ginger & Pear Liqueur, Clarified Chrysanthemum Tea. White Wine Foam The unique design of this cocktail is quite impressive, resembling a lollipop. It's perfect because you can both enjoy it and have fun with it, bringing a lot of joy and happiness.

⁺₊⋆ Breathtaking 180-degree harbour view at Rooftop Bar 𓅍 ˎˊ˗

With the cool autumn breeze in the air, it's the perfect time to enjoy the beautiful view from an outdoor seat at a Rooftop Bar! During my recent visit to Sugar located in Tai Koo, I was amazed by its spacious terrace. The bar has low sofas, elegant carpets, and marble countertops indoors. The sunlight streaming in creates a comfortable and spacious ambiance throughout the restaurant. The overall atmosphere is elegant and captivating.

I visited during dusk and witnessed the stunning sunset over the harbour from the 32/F. The panoramic view was breathtaking, encompassing the entire Kowloon East and the Eastern Corridor. I once again marveled at the beauty of Hong Kong's night skyline. With the addition of cocktails, complimentary snacks, and a DJ spinning tunes, the music experience was fantastic! The selection of songs was just right, and the volume was perfect. Enjoying drinks and heartfelt conversations with friends in this setting was truly remarkable. ჱ̒ ｰ̀֊ｰ́ )

We were looking for a chill place to relax after a long day. This is a bar we randomly picked and realized it is a rooftop bar not until we arrived! The outdoor is so beautiful that we can enjoy the city and harbour view. However it was quite rainy that day, which was Black Rain right after we arrived home. The indoor was pretty chill too. Classy style design. There are nice polular music and DJ session!

Special mention to the female washroom. The shared cylindrical sink is built with marbles. It looks so decent!

For the drinks, I ordered a glass or mock tail called Blush tea. It is a mixture of rose and jasmine tea with honey, soda and dried orange peels. It is refreshing and slightly sweet. I avoid ordering alcohol to prevent insomnia at night. This drink was just right for me as jasmine tea helps with sleeping disorder!

My boyfriend chose one of their signature cocktail cakes Planet X. It is made of Johnnie Walker, vita soy and some other ingredients. It was not as strong as expected.

For snacks, we ordered fries and pork belly bun. They were good too 👍🏻 the fries were so crunchy. It comes with ketchup and mayonnaise. Really love the combination of fries and mayonnaise!
