The Carpentry Guidhall is the ninth stop on the Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO) sponsored self-walking tour called 'Footsteps in the Historic Centre'. This walking tour explores areas of the UNESCO World Heritage area as well as interesting historic and heritage areas nearby.
The 'Footsteps in the Historic Centre' walk starts at Avenida da Praia Grande, makes several stops at attractions on Senado Square, Ave. Almeida Ribeiro, before stopping to the Carpentry Guildhall and Woodcraft Works of Master Lu Ban Exhibition not far the Tung Sing Tong Clinic on Rua de Camilio Pessanha
Not much to the exterior of this particular attraction which has served as a union trade meeting location since the mid 19th century. Within the building visitors can browse an exhibition room with over 80 traditional tools and implements, representing traditional and ancient carpentry techniques.
The exhibition room is open from 10am to 6pm daily (Closed on Wednesdays) and can be viewed comfortably in 10-20 minutes before continuing onward with the rest of the 'Footsteps in the Historic Centre'...
